Crosby? Great player, not a great captain yet. Not sure if he will be but I don't care. If he continues winning cups that's all that counts.

Mark Messier was one hell of a captain if not the best.
That pretty much says it.

Why Mrs. Priss-pants has to get all up in arms I don't know.

I said I thought they got better. If they were awesome then they would have had Zetterburg numbers, duh.

If you want to mock me or whatever to make your dick hard that's your business. You're just upset that your little Dead Wings don't get any press outside of Detroit. So you come here and whine about it like what was it? Oh yeah I think you said a "whiney little faggot". Fitting name.

File a grievance with the league if you're that upset about it.
I'm actually not upset at all. For over a decade all we have received is bad press, tons of untimely jokes, so I'm used to it.

Congrats to the Pens for winning, but Crosby is not a great leader and overrated by the media and their fans, which makes them look pathetic.

Don't get angry at me because you didn't play the sport and don't understand how to analyze the defensive aspects of the game. I don't debate about American football because I know nothing about it, and I admit it.

Because he is overrated and you know it. The media fawns over Crosby and his fans are idiots for bringing his name up with legends.

You don't realize it, but the Pens are a production of the league. The league was more successful than the NBA with LJ because their golden boy, Crosby, won the Cup.

Now we have to be graced with morons who don't know much about hockey, haven't even tied a pair of skates to their feet, claiming Crosby will be the best ever.

So be it. But I don't have to hold back in making fun of those freaks.

That's funny. I don't remember ever saying that Crosby was a great captain. Please, someone point out a post I wrote that stated this.

Interesting statistic. The Wings only had two players with negative plus/minuses, while the Pens had nine players with negatives. Ruslan Fedotenko had the highest plus/minus on their team, with a plus 9. Jordan Staal was the worst with a -5.

You'd think the Stanley Cup champs would have better +/- stats than that, but they did play quite a lot of games.

I've never once said Crosby will be the best ever. I've said Gonchar should be captain until Sid matured. Doesn't matter to you though.

About you're idea that the league has created the Pens. That's silly. We had to suffer a long time with crappy hockey before Mario bought the team and turned things around. We had to suck hard to get players like Crosby and Malkin. Neither of them are my favorite player on the team either I like Staal and Flower much better. If anything blame Mario for being a damn good owner.

Of course Mario deserves a lot of credit, but one cannot deny that the Pens are the league's marketing gems. They have gained a lot of fans through Crosby, the poster boy, who gave neutrals somebody to follow. And the league was victorious this past June.

The media exposure and marketing of the Pens is key for not only their future, but the league's future as well.

Overall, their existence is really great for the league.

It depends on where you live. Sure Crosby is the league darling (watch out for Johnny T I think he's the next one, one would have thought there were no other players in this draft), but here you get Caps, Caps, Caps rammed down your throat. Ovie this, Ovie that. I can't even watch a Pens game unless it's nationally televised.

I think that overall players like Crosby and Ovechkin are good for the league. If you don't like him, you still watch him cause you want him to fail. It's win-win for the league.
