Who knows how much Bob offered to our RFA's so without them(Pacioretty, Maxwell, D'Agostini, Latendresse, Plekanec, Chipchura, Stewart, Carle, Weber) according to nhlnumbers.com it's 10.454m.

If Pacioretty, D'Agostini, Latendresse, Plekanec,Stewart and Weber accept Bob's offer with a little pay raise then there's around 4m left.

Enough for another defenseman, then.

Is there anyone else out there besides scuderi and beauchemin that catches your eye that they could get for fairly cheap??

Wait mark... you guys just spent 6M on Cammalleri and you want to put him with Plekanec and one of the Kostitsyns? If that happens, you're going to have a 6M$ player who scores 50-60 points next season. Book it.

That is a very fast lineup on the whole... speed, up and down. A wee slight for my liking...

There's potential there, for sure, but I see a ton of question marks. At this point, a bruising, stay at home defender has got to be the priority.

Congrats to Milan Lucic for making the preliminary list of 46 invited to Team Canada
Class, Sergio.

I was really, really excited to see him in that list... far and away my favorite player - which I'm sure you've gathered by now, as I repeat it every couple hours or so.

I also thought that it was a farce that Savard didn't make that list... there are like 15 centers on it. 88 Points, and plus 25ish? He wouldn't make the cut when it came down to it, but he should be ahead of some of the guys who are on that list. I guess his age hurts him a bit.

I put him there because I don't want a line of midgets and I want to diversify the offense. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket. When needed in the 3rd period Martin can put them together.

If age were an issue, then Sakic and Smyth shouldn't be on there either. I can't figure that out for the life of me.

I see that Team Canada has infused some youth on defense, with Green,Stall,Burns, Doughty(how good is THAT kid. Seriously)

We lost Samsuelsson to the Canucks. He should link up well with the Sudin brothers.

Now I'm starting to get a little worried. We lost two of our better snipers and two out of three leading shot-takers. Perhaps we're waiting to see what's left-over after the pickings are made, but we certainly better secure Hudler and Leino, two good younger players.

I'm just afraid we might not add anybody good after losing two very strong players.
