No, the guy's a cunt. I give him all the information he needs, yet he's not even able to read the damn thing and then comes back here and starts talking down to me as if I don't know "the law", whatever he thinks that might be anyway. I'm okay with someone not knowing in the first place, but the hubris on display here is disgusting.

Second of all, public domain generally has to do with intellectual property rights. This isn't about intellectual property rights.
Third, it doesn't matter if you took the picture or not, it's my image. How can that possibly be so hard to understand?

Not to take a side, but I think both arguments are wrong. Here's some help:
Seven it's your likeness. Now research cases of public domain law where a likeness is used.
Legally speaking. The picture of a picture thing doesn't matter because it is a picture of Seven, actually his likeness.
As we all know the likeness of someone can be legally and illegally obtained as well as used. Paparrazzi are sued all the time. Just because you take a picture doesn't make it yours and if you take a picture of a picture you still need the original photographers permission.
As for the issue of public domain. A photograph's availability does not simply make it public domain.
That's my info tip for the day.
However, I don't think it's going to matter. You must know Andries, that Burke is not going to take your photo down. Especially if you make a fuss over it. He likes that. If you leave it be, he's likely to change it once it gets old to him. Or once Bayern start playing again.
