Tacchi's loan deal was extended before the end of the season as i remember, stupid thing to do on moggi's part.He should've taken demotion into consideration before he did that.

Anyway, Rothen was great in monaco. No idea why he went to PSG when he could've went to some other league or a better club.

Players from Deschamps' Monaco I would love to see play for Juventus:

Jerome Rothen: Yes, he was a one hit wonder under Deschamps, and is now some average hack for PSG. But if he can regain his form under Deschamps and show his real ability like he did in 2004, I think Rothen could be a risk worth taking as long as we can get him on the cheap...very cheap.
I'd love him too(on the cheap), but I think the 'winger' departement is pretty well covered. So we don't need him really, not even in Serie B.

Deschamps disegna la Juve del futuro
22 07 2006
Grazia Neri

The article writes about the future plans of Deschamps. Ribery, Huntelaar and Givet are future targets. Basically the article says if by January we are in a good position for promotion to A, we'll try to get the respective players for the following season.

Deschamps wanted Cannavaro Saturday 22 July, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus boss Didier Deschamps has conceded that he’s disappointed to have lost Fabio Cannavaro to Real Madrid.

The Frenchman was hoping to keep the 33-year-old at the club following their demotion, but the stopper was tempted by the idea of La Liga rather than Serie B football.

“I was hoping to keep him. Not only for what he does on the pitch, but also for his leadership qualities off it,” stated the newly appointed Juve Coach.

“The club did their best to keep him, but it wasn’t enough. However, we can’t look to the past now, we have to look to the future.”

Having also lost Emerson to Real Madrid, Gianluca Zambrotta and Lilian Thuram to Barcelona, with Patrick Vieira desperately close to Inter, Deschamps is praying that some of the club’s established stars don’t join the exodus train.

“Some important players have gone, let’s hope a few stay. Who? It’s hard to say at this stage,” added the former Monaco tactician.

“The club has to take into account a lot of aspects, such as the economical view. After all, a Juventus in B is different from a Juventus in A.”

Deschamps was given a boost last week, though, when goalkeeper Gigi Buffon committed his future to the club and he’s hoping that his former French international teammate David Trezeguet will do the same.

“Buffon? He’ll stay. I’m 100 per cent certain because he’s told me that fact,” noted the game’s most famous water carrier.

“Trezeguet? I hope he remains. I know him well and you can’t doubt his qualities. But at the moment he is on holiday and I can’t be sure that he will stay. It’s the same situation with Zlatan Ibrahimovic

“Robert Kovac? I’m 99 per cent sure that he will not leave. The club want to keep him and that is the end of the matter,” he added.

“My work will be based around the three new players [Valeri Bojinov, Marco Marchionni and Cristiano Zanetti] and youngsters like Mirante, Paro and Palladino who are already used to Serie A and Masiello who knows about Serie B.

“I don’t think the squad will be revolutionised from what I have at the minute. There could be a maximum of three new players in order for the squad to have 25 members.”
So if it all works out, we could be looking at the following juve for 2007/2008(more or less) :

Buffon
Balzaretti Givet Kovac Chiellini
Marchionni Zanetti(?) Paro (?) Ribery
Bojinov
Huntelaar

I'm just guessing here. We'd probably still have Del Piero and Nedved for example. Maybe even Trezeguet.

I think It's better to focus now on Serie B, and leave the Serie A formation.... There's a long way and we can probably discuss about that on March.

He really seems disappointed by Cannavaro.

Buying players in January would be a good idea. The players will be motivated to come as Serie A would look realistic, and it would give us a boost to break Albinoleffe and I don't know who to get our Serie A spot back!

Indeed. This does potray that Deschamps is planning long-term and that he has a project. He certainly has an interesting team in mind.

Thats why I'm starting to like Deschamp more and more. He's looking right to the future, which mean that he's eager to take first place though we might start the league with -30points.

Forza Juve.

Ribery & Huntelaar would be fantastic signings & Huntelaar is just superb! Everybody just needs to pull with Deschamps & things should go smoothly.I hope Kovac stays.
