I saw the match and for those that asked questions, here's the answers :D

- Thuram will join Juve in August in the USA (he's the only one that played the Confederation Cup from the Juve players).

- Tudor is having an individual training at the moment and not with the team. As usual some muscle problems.

- The match was obviously easy going and it was mainly a parade of the old stars, and a presentation of the new players.

- It’s difficult to say who the best players were since there were 2 teams at each half so I`ll just talk about the new ones

- Legrottaglie played in the first half and wasn’t troubled much, though whenever he had to make a challenge or start a move from defence, he always looks calm and in control.

- Maresca was the director just in front of the defence line. What I liked most about him is the confidence, cos he was always asking and gesturing to his team mates to pass him the ball, as if he was a veteran of the team. Good job.

- Appiah might not have Davids aggressiveness, but he surely doesn’t let anyone pass by him without a fight (in a good way). He even has a very nice shot and went close to scoring a really nice goal from outside the box.

- Miccoli has become the fan’s favourite. Whenever he touched the ball, all the fans would applaud and shout his name, and whenever he did a nice move (which he did often enough), the crowd would ‘aww’ at him. In fact the loudest ‘goal’ was when he scored, as everyone seemed to be waiting for that moment. Great assists, and an amazing shot; in fact from wherever he shot, he would always find the goal, and if it wasn`t for a couple of good keeper saves, he might have scored more. Btw he was very un-egoistic at one point, when he was in front of the keeper and could have scored his first Juve goal, but instead passed it to Conte who tapped it in. He’s gonna be our star player :D

- Olivera scored a nice well taken strong shot goal and moved quite well. Hopefully his move to Empoli will make him a better player.

- Special mention to DV who scored 4 goals from 5 shots. He’s on fire ;) We don't need a new striker as a backup for Trez :)
Yayy you made my day.
Of course it wasn't a serious match but it's still nice to see that the team is playing well.

yes of course, I wanted to know what channel but I don't have this channel here.
well last year we only beat them 8-1 so it's an improvement. I guess it's because they raised the preparation level due to the early Supercup

La7 used to be called Tele Monte Carlo (TMC) before but changed in these past 2 years.

I think it’s more cos the new boys wanted to show off in front of the fans and so gave their best. Last year we did not really have any new players, especially upfront, so the old boys probably did not give what they could :D

Lippi said that in this past week, unlike previous years, the training was very light, so to arrive fresh at the super cup game, then training would get harder after that.

Too harsh there ;)

I think the difference between Trez and DV was Miccoli. In the first half there wasn't a real assist man, but Miccoli in the 2nd half was producing quality assists to all of his team mates.
Wow, if Miccoli can make the difference between Trez having 1 goal and DV bagging 4, then my expectations for him this season have just risen dramatically. He's my greatest hope for this season, and he'd better keep scoring spectacular goals. I'm glad all our new boys are solid and confident. This is a good sign before our first real test in the States.

Glenn, I'd like to ask you a few questions if you don't mind. Some sources are saying that we played a 4-3-1-2 and some are saying that we played a 3-4-1-2 so since you actually saw the game I was hoping that you could verify which one was used for me, and how did DP play? I know he scored two goals and made two assists, but how was he moving? Any increase in speed or anything like that? :)

Er.. it's one game. And a friendly against some amateurs at that, a tad early to make those kinds of conclusions? ;)
Ah, you're just saying that because Di Vaio out played Trezeguet :p And yes, I know that it was only a friendly, but I seriously think that it's time for us to try a DP-DV attacking partnership

I think we should move DP back to playmaker, or Miccoli back there, depending on which of those guys would play better there. Move neddy back into central midfield with Tacchinardi, Camo and Zambrotta on the wings with a three man defence.

Alternatively move Neddy to left wing and Zambrotta/Camo on the right but I'm not sure how much defending either Camo or Neddy would do.

Theoretically 4-3-1-2, but in the 2nd half, Fresi was played as right back (for lack of players). Still don't forget that this was their first game together, so players like Miccoli and Olivera were running around all the pitch, so it was more like 4-3-2-1

Well like all the other old boys, DP was just frollicking around the pitch ;) none seemed to want to really tired themselves out except for the news ones and the usual Davids and Nedved who can't seem to understand that they were playing a friendly against an amateur team :D

Nedved scored on his third shot of the day after one of his shots even went in the forest behind the pitch, and when he scored, it was like he scored against Inter or Milan with his joy.

About DP's goals, the first one was nice, reminded me of the goal he scored in 98/99 against Inter 1-0 (the one famous for the Iuliano-Ronaldo incident). The second was a usual DP penalty.

I would pick Miccoli for that. He seems more adaptable than Alex and if they can work well together with Nedved, we might see some nice goals.

Yeah I agree, Miccoli is better for the playmaking job  He's such a great set-up man :thumb:

Btw Miccoli and Maresca were both close to score from a freekick each. This gives us more options in that field, unlike last year where only DP (not very succesfully) was the only one that could curl a freekick over the way.

Miccoli is also a cool finisher and can score some amazing goals. His best position would be to start frm the 3/4 and run like a bullet (more or less that's how he scored yesterday).

rubbish. Di Vaio hasn't done anything yet to earn this praise. it was a friendly exhibition, that 4 goals is not anything special.

    Forza Trezeguet!
