Ah right so every few years we might even get an extra 35M per season just for qualifying
I don't think you can set i up this way. As far as i know, the money Mediaset pays to show CL, goes to UEFA. It will then increase the size of TV money in CL, but those money are split between all participating teams, according to the distribution key. So it does not really matter from which country the money comes, it's more about the general size of the 'TV pot', which will be increased, but not enough to give us 20 million € extra...

To be fair, its actually not as straightforward as that.It depends on how far we go in the competition too.For example we received 65m from making QF and milan 52m for making R16 last season. If we had made it further,we would've recieved even more and Milan's CL income would've been lesser as well in the process.

This season we have to hope Milan dont make it past R16,because our cl income for this season will be reduced if they go further.

Yeah,i get it.Also how far you go in the competition as well.
Once teams qualify for the CL group stages they get their portion of funds, depending on their previous ranking in national competitions of course. I don't believe team that reaches later stages gets more out of tv pool. The prize money is variable though. Here is last season so you can check for yourself:

Nope, they bought rights for Italian market and only Italian teams are getting those funds.

Basically, every year the best scenario for us is that we do much better than all the other Italian teams in the CL, but in turn the ones who are dumped into the EL manage to rack up 'co-eff' points. We make a vast amount of money from the CL whilst Serie A does what the Bundesliga used to do and dominate the Europa and make a tonne of 'co-eff' points despite only having one team actually doing well in the CL (Bayern) Juve.

Works for me. Sadly, even when Milan suck they can still do what we can't and dispatch of Pot 3/4 teams.

That assumption is wrong.

Just look at this graphic for example

So going far in the CL does vary market pool of all representatives from that league.

From that source

AC Milan's market pool-36,257,000

Juventus' market pool-44,815,000

We're strictly speaking market pool money here and it varies. But they havent shown the split figures tho like how swiss Ramble have explained in that graphic i posted above.

Looks like we are slowly catching up to the mega powers of football, we are still trailing behind but the management is doing a good job to increase our global appeal and finances. If the rest of the league didn't suck and go to shit post Calciopoli we would be in an even better position tbh. How can a team get relegated go into years of mediocrity and be the only team to build their own stadium?

The Milan clubs need a wake up call, when u look what Fiorentina, Napoli and Udinese are doing with their stadiums it looks really bad for Merda and Milan when they are still stuck in the 20th century of the way their clubs are run.

The whole deal is worth 700m euros ,70m euros more than the old deal. How is it split ? I think we might be a bit mistaken here.I dont think this gives the clubs an additional 20m+ as originally thought.

There is rumors that Bbilan are looking to build their own stadium in the next few years. Apparently some announcement will be made in March.

Yeah, the rumor is that they will start building it next year with the aim of getting it done for the 2016-17 season (realistically, it will probably take longer than that). Which means Inter will get the task of renovating the Meazza if we don't also move out, which in turn would make no fucking sense if we don't buy the stadium from the city. I can't imagine both clubs vacating the place though.

Well a few years ago, it seemed that Inter was gonna move out and build their own stadium and Milan was gonna buy the San Siro. Things probably changed after Thohir bought Inter I think.

How have you been amore?

Exactly, and there was the whole selling out to the Chinese (the red away jerseys) and everything. I might be in a minority among Inter fans, but if given the choice between buying out/renovating the Meazza & a brand new stadium, I would rather the former, but I'm a sentimental fuck. Likely that would end up costing more in the end to do that rather than starting from scratch though, so I guess understandable if that doesn't happen.

I've been relatively good I suppose, how about you?

Milan building a new stadium and Inter renovating the Meazza would be sweet... finally some new stadiums in italy.. the sooner the better... new stadiums means more supporters and a better atmosphere... better atmosphere means people will tend to like watching italian games... and that is something that's very important
