i think ultimately any villain (out of the remaining selection) that is chosen for the 3rd part is gonna suck. if you think about it then you would realize that after the joker and 2-face all the other batman villains are just dumb. the only one i would like to see now is ra's alghoul. being that he was in the first installment it would be nice if he somehow survived the train wreck and now plans to exact his revenge upon batman. bane is also another villain that would make my pants go crazy as well.

otherwise:

poison ivy - gay
mr. freeze - gay
the penguin - gay
the mad hatter - gay
cat woman - gay
the riddler - gayyyy
Realize the Scare Crow is wondering around gotham as well. The next one will no doubt be a pairing or grouping of bad guys.

Black Mask could be cool. I really doubt the Joker will be recast.

Also I thought I might add that the series could go to shit if Nolan doesn't decide to pick up the third one. Bale has said that if Nolan was not involved it would be very difficult to get him back on the project. But with the massive money made from Dark Knight it will be hard for Chris Nolan to say no to making another Batman movie with almost unlimited resources.

apparently Johnny Depp has been approached to play the Riddler in the next film.

Coming back to the villains,a return for the Scarecrow coudl be possible too, since the character didnt die,or wasnt shown dead,in Batman Begins.Personally,id love it if Murphy was casted as The Scarecrow again in the 3rd movie,in a bigger role than Batman Begins. He's shown that he can carry the role brilliantly.
Did you WATCH the dark knight? The scarecrow was caught in the beginning.

Just watched the film and I have to say that was one of the finest performances iv seen in a long long time by Heath Ledger..

Though I don't think Dark Knight is any better than the original I think the Jokers performance could be regarded as better.

Bale is absoultley wooden when hes sharing a scene with Ledger, the latter blows the former away big time.

Nothing for the scarecrow to return. Nothing at stake, he has no part in the story at all. Writing him back in would feel forced and is doomed to fail.

No i havent seen the DK.I was only talking about Batman Begins and he didnt die.And from what ive read(i know ive spoiled it for myself),even Harvey Dent didnt 'Die' in the Dark Knight and there seems to be some proof backing this up(from what ive read on websites and articles ofcourse).Plus Eckhart signed for 2 movies.
