Penguin is a side-dish not a main one (not even half of Joker). His story is uninteresting and he only works as as one of many pieces in a story. Nearly not enough to carry a story or antagonize Batman. He is a generic gang boss with a gimmick. His crew werent that dangerous anyway, just one of several gunning for power.

Cant carry a movie at all. If you want Batman going against mafiosos and mobs, they should make a legit movie about him and the Falcone,s Maronis and all the other italian mob families. But then again, the Falcones is Batman Begins (the mob boss played by Tom Wilkinson, btw, huge miscast despite a brilliant actor), and Maroni will be in this one (the one who scars Two face). Just a shame they are a very bleak and weak depiction compared to the comic ones of Long halloween issue and such.


P.S I am judging the comic penguin. The movie one was ten times more pathetic, makes the comic one look awesome.

.I thought De Vito did brilliant in Batman Returns.The storyline about his real parents was kind of lame,but his character can definatley be worked with.I agree that he wont carry a movie on his own like The Joker,which is why a Riddler-Penguin alliance sounds neat.Add the Riddler's side of things,where he's divided betweene wether he wants to be a Batman ally or not,and it could be pretty interesting.

My mistake.I completley forget about Penguin and Catwoman.The Penguin especially,is a much more prominent character than The Riddler or Poison Ivy.I think the 3rd movie would have the Penguin.Perhaps the Penguin and The Riddler.That would be great.

He made the penguin a freak and a hybrid weirdo. Totally lost the point.


Btw guys, dont watch the longer trailer, it totally spoils ALOT of the movie. Shows alot of the big scenes and the story parts of the film in detail. NOT GOOD.

Well it is a trailer after all, though who knows, there could be more then they put in. That's what I like about Nolan, there's always a mystery about his movies. And Burton is pathetic, though I think it was Warner Bros. who asked him to screw the movies up and make it more kiddy but I'm not too sure.

I mean this spoils ALOT more then usual trailer, or actually trailers lately are in a trend to spoilt alot of movies unless they are short. Some of the mystery of the movie will be lost if you see the long trailer (even if Nolan's style is indeed to be about alot more then the book cover). I know the story so it really cant spoil much, but still.

I would only recommend to watch the long trailer IF you are unsure wether or not to see the movie. But I gather all of us here would watch the biggiest movie of the year?


P.S Warner had their part, but no really, it was mainly Burtons retarded and arrogant style that made the movie the way it was. He regurarly insulted the Batman comics and said he gives a fuck etc.

Ive been reading some stuff on a Facebook community about a 3rd movie,and guess who's being predicted as the main villain next time?Its not Riddler,Not Penguin(he hasnt even been mentioned so far),Not Bane..

But The Mad Hatter.

This is what one the guy's over there,who seems pretty intelligent,had to say :

Apparently no one was paying enough attention to the storyline to notice the guy Two Face was questioning after the failed attempt on the mayor's life.

A paranoid schizophrenic escaped from Arkham, Jervis Tetch aka THE MAD HATTER. Anyone who has read the comics knows that the Hatter is commonly in stories included Joker Scarecrow and Two Face. Hmm, who have the villains been in the first two films(excluding Ra's)? The Mad Hatter is an incredibly complex character, and would be great for Goyer's writing style. All they would have to do is reinvent his appearance(not a problem, look how Joker and Scarecrow turned out).

Also..Christian Bale has said that he wont be a part of the 3rd movie if Robin is drafted in,which is a HUGE relief.

Coming back to the villains,a return for the Scarecrow coudl be possible too,since the character didnt die,or wasnt shown dead,in Batman Begins.Personally,id love it if Murphy was casted as The Scarecrow again in the 3rd movie,in a bigger role than Batman Begins.He's shown that he can carry the role brilliantly.

i think ultimately any villain (out of the remaining selection) that is chosen for the 3rd part is gonna suck. if you think about it then you would realize that after the joker and 2-face all the other batman villains are just dumb. the only one i would like to see now is ra's alghoul. being that he was in the first installment it would be nice if he somehow survived the train wreck and now plans to exact his revenge upon batman. bane is also another villain that would make my pants go crazy as well.
