Is he worth 55m though? Can't we find someone cheaper and as good as him or even better?
We can maybe. But like who?

Because despite the Atalanta system angle, Koopmeiners is very much proven quality in Serie A as top end mid for two seasons. I'm curious who else we can find for AM that as proven for cheaper price.

We can probably find someone more talented for cheaper price, but it would involve more risk and patience while you wait for them to grow into bonafide quality player. While Koopmeiners consistency over the past years shows a well rounded player that's ready to instantly deliver.

Why are people so worried about his transfer fee? I didnt know Elkanns accountants were active on Tuz. His wages would be the bigger concern, but the reported figures dont seem to be anything prohibitive in regards to future ability to sell. That stuff shouldn’t even be a concern right now, this is the guy Motta/Giuntoli have prioritized, so go get him.
What do you mean Elkann's accountant aren't active on Tuz?
On Tuz there're JJ's accountants, On Tuz there're JJ's scouts, On Tuz there're JJ's designers, On Tuz there're JJ's lawyers, On Tuz there're JJ's coaches. Here we have everything!

How will he be cheaper? He is a world class player that Man City wants to keep, and only time he been rumoured to leave past years is either to his dream club Barcelona (won't happen now that Gundogan went there lol), or the Saudis. Or PSG. He will go for big sum and more importantly huge salary, which is what he had made fuss about past years.

Trust me I wish Bernardo Silva was realistic. But he is not IMO.

Tho he is not my favourite Portuguese AM in EPL, that honour goes to Bruno, that mofo at his best is awesome. Needs a new start, so if for whatever reason he and Man U want a divorce we should be so there.

agreed on bruno would like him here, but manu will never let him go.

man city always let their players go easily when they want to leave. look at sane for example he left for smaller fee than signed and smaller that what his worth was at the time. same with dzeko for example.

silva was rumored to go to barca for 50-55m last year fee. i think barca pulled out because they had no money left for big transfers.

i am confident juve can get him for even lower fee than that this year.

this is funny because both agresti and Pedulla are saying there was no official offer, just an initial feel out. Negotiations have now begun though, at least according to them. I trust those two over anyone else. I’m guessing theyll meet half way and settle around 50M.

Pedulla:

Teun Kooomeiners remains Juve's target , but we need to make sure that we reach (soon) a solution that can satisfy Atalanta . Yesterday there was talk of an official offer of 45 million which we are not aware of and we confirm. After careful checks we have come to the conclusion that the tip-off came from people close to the player in order to speed up a process that is leading to exhaustion. Further clarification: since the clubs are not aware of an official offer, and this says it all, the fact that an offer of 45 million was waved gives an idea. In the sense that Juventus knows they will have to present themselves with a different figure to break down the bunker. We do not rule out contact or a face to face meeting within this weekend, also because time is running out (Atalanta will be playing the European Super Cup against Real Madrid on August 14 ). Without neglecting that Kooomeiners' agents have given priority to Juve, they reached an agreement on the salary months ago and are now calling for a strong incursion by the Bianconeri club. Otherwise they will make the necessary decisions and any scenario would be possible. It is not secondary that, at least up to now, no hypotheses linked to Premier clubs have emerged, a clear predisposition to give priority to Juve. But now we need facts, without further procrastination. And Juve is preparing the shot, in the hope that it will be the decisive one.

Insane. We are talking about 50 yet Barca is getting Olmo for like 55.
Koopmeiners plays 40-50 games a season and has consistently scored more than 10 goals over the past couple of seasons

Olmo has played 20 games a season for the past couple of years and likely to earn a much higher pay. There's a reason why despite a great cup tournament, no top team has shown serious interest apart from fallen clubs like Barca.

Doesn't sound so 'insane' when you break things down unless you prefer a player who only features for half a season.

What is taking so long? We sold Huijsen and Soule almost a week ago and we haven’t yet made a serious offer…. The season starts in just over a couple of weeks. Todibo is also stalling.

This is a very uncomfortable period. The longer we wait the more likely we will panic buy an average player and pay above their valuation anyway…. Best to suck it up and pay a bit more to get your number one target.

My biggest fear in this mercato is that we are doing a squad revolution at a scale never seen before for quite a long time. This means doing deals at prices you don’t like…to do it properly you need to be quick…. We could afford to wait on Koop if we are only making small changes but time is ticking. The fact that Szczesny and McKennie are not playing ball is only making it even more difficult.

why are you so worried. the club acted fast to spend 19m on a 4th goalkeeper and 5m on a backup defender with expring contract they could have gotten for free. clearly that's priority to getting a goal scoring midfielder.

Motta is pushing for him. PUUUUUSHING!

We can infer that no one, NOT A SINGLE PLAYER impressed Motta as an am which is a key role in his system. Fagioli sucks, Miretti injured, Adzic too raw, Yildiz idk but might be used as a winger.

He NEEDS quality player, a TRUE attacking midfielder!

So Toli, bring him the DUTCHMAN!

Alhamdu-li-allah.
