If I'm not mistaken minarets were used before to call a prayer, but nowdays all the mosques have speakers that can be turn-off easily. So with or without minaret everything will stay same, except funny looking no minaret mosque...

Okay, then I guess they would have to comply with building code.
Building code that is restricted because of sheer bigotry and islamophobia, NOTHING more. It relates only to mosques, and nothing else. When a reporter asked the political leader of these racists whats the difference between a church tower and minaret, he said Minarets are a sign of political extremist expression, of islam taking over the western world as we know it. Sheer propoganda, their posters and campaigns against it was pure Nazi tactics of propoganda.

St Moritz! not to mention people who visit to drop off their cash and buy chocolate :D
I was in Geneve, Lausanne, Bern and Zurich. Such a waste of time. Overpriced, annoying, not remotely mountainous (hilly at most), or actually yes, remotely. Mountains are remote. Mountainous country my ass.

Well, as a Saudi, I don't view this as a racist behavior. Otherwise, my country is the most racist country in the whole world. We don't have churches of other religions whatsoever, just Mosques. Even though, we have a lot of christians living and working in the country. If they make a poll in Saudi Arabia, about +75% will vote against building one church anywhere in the country. I don't think it's racist, it's the choice of the majority of people.

So, when another country vote to ban minaret construction, not even mosques, just a part of a mosque. They're not racist. It's their own homeland. The majority voted against minaret construction. NO PROBLEM AT ALL.

So if something is wanted by the majority it cannot be racist? Your logic is a little shaky there.
