Well, we did not fix our midfield in 2015 (Hernanes wasn't a fix) and we had to change the formation. We did not fix our midfield again in 2016 and we had to change formation again. Anything is fixable of course, but I think it's going to be much harder than this.
We cannot play a 4231 with khedira and pjanic being the 2, they are weak and cannot hold down the mid and get ran train on every single game vs any decent opposition, I don't even know what we can do anymore w no DM, but a 2man mid w those 2 hasn't and won't work

My god lol you're all quick to blame de sciglio becaus u want to, yet you dont blame any of our midfielders or defenders in the box ball watching w their cock in their hands who aren't marking anyone
Nah all he had to do was stand his ground and guide Lukaku towards the byline, take a corner, but he jumped in and let an average player run past him. Once you let someone get to the byline it's danger and a lottery.

The defending on the SMS header was also a joke, with Barzagli being left to deal with two defenders. I don't trust Benatia, he's a good player on his day but I think his head is out of the game for some time now, he doesn't have the mental strength to play consistently at a high level for a team like Juventus. I want to see Rugani in there as soon as possible.

Yeah we miss certain things from Bonucci going forward but dealing with dangerous high crosses into the box or tight marking are not those things.

To play 4-2-3-1 with Costa-Dybala-Bernardeschi and Higuain you'd need Kantè and Matic being the 2 DM infront of the defence.

yeah, you always know better afterwards. A striker is something totally different because he only needs to convert chances given to him. there is no elaborate running scheme involved.

if you knew only a little bit about football you would have seen that the problem going forward was that whoever was on the wing was totally alone. if sandro was on the wing there was nobody doing overlaps so sandro had two defenders being able to watch him. same on the other side. this did not change even after the introduction of costa who tried his "one trick pony" robben move way to often. i do not blame him because nothing else worked for the team.

dybala did fuck all by always letting somebody run him over and praying for the ref to whistle. this is not how you fucking wear the number ten. stay on your legs and try something insted of diving the first opportunity present.
??? I said it before, during and after the game so don't hit me with that 'using hindsight' argument.

So on one hand you make excuses for why we don't play the new players, and next post you're trashing our wingers for being inept and doing nothing???

Our new players.... are wingers  So maybe the solution to fixing the problem of having two shit wingers, is to play 2 better ones. Which we bought.

Cyclical argument going nowhere. I said before, during and after the game we should use our new wingers. I was proven right. And you contradict yourself by shitting on the players I wanted benched from minute 0. Cool.

As for Dybala. Well if we stopped using him as a glorified CAM that'd be great. He's too one footed and playing too deep.

Poor Rugani basically anyone starting ahed of him.
I don't understand why he didn't start Lichsteiner instead of Barzagli.
Starting to think we need a fast defender and him being Manolas....
As RB position I would go for Roberto Pereira or Wydmer

We got fuct with Barza at RB, i think we got better moving forward with MDS and Costa in. Pjanic and Sami did fuckall, they can't do shit against solid mids, and need to integrate better with Dybala, as these two drop too deep always that their forward passes have to travel too far giving time for the opposing defense to clog the lane.

100 agree w you on that, yet the 2 playing those roles are the exact oppoiste types of players to them...Like sturaro is a better type of player to play that role than either of them..which is why I'm struggling to think of a formation that will work for us with what we have..we cant play 3 in the back anymore...but I feel like we need to flood the midfield bc our quality isn't there, so if we just overwhelm the opposition it could work...similar to what Italy has done in recent years vs spain...maybe a 4312 w berna in the hole..but we are very limited with what we have
