"as he will be the only naturally left-footed wide player in our team" is a part of the reasoning you give. And I'm giving my 2 cents about why I think that is nonsens.

Same goes for the Soulé as starter as he'd clearly be the backup to other players like Di Maria and Cuads in that scenario.

About Berna; thing is he was overrated and therefor too expensive and with expectations way too high. As a cheap backup and handyman, he's fine. The new Giacherini as you like.
Yeah, Di Maria, if we sign him, would be. Yet, I am against it. Soule would be a rookie,an unknown, if we play him at all.

Berna is neither cheap, nor handy. He might be important for the Lazios of this world at best. He is done here. Giacherini was a completely different story and even his time here was limited. Now Cuadrado and Danilo play the new universal soldiers.

Still can't get where the whole nonsense is?

Berna is basically a Bosman signing and he's willing to accept lower wages according to some rumours. So yeah, I'd call that pretty cheap.

You might not be happy with the quality but Di Maria is not going to be the only left footed alternative. Hence nonsens.

Same as naming Soulé among the starters, who'd be third choice at best for that position if we actually keep him.

Not aiming at you but people often claim we need to play more youth and at the same time want 2/3 world class players in that same position. It's one or the other and now, with limited funds and Chiesa close to returning from injury is the time.
Soulé might be an unkown factor to us, but to the management and coaching staff, he's not. He's been training with the team for months now... So If they promote him to a full-time first team member, especially with Allegri there, it won't be for nothing.

Pogba Di Maria and Perisic? Boy are we going into a dark period.

Inter and formerly Juve built a strong core to the team and then complemented/patched the squad with old freebies. This looks like the reverse. All of these are gambles.

So after Locatelli, Vlahovic and Zakaria we are back to short term, fast fixing?
Pretty sure it's not but we're not exclusively buying 18-25 year olds either.

If we're to believe the most loud rumours and count Cuads and Di Maria as starters, they will be the only outfield players over 30.

But the rest do not currently click at all. It's one thing to add these to a functional backbone to add some experience and a bit of magic in a few tight games. Its another to be dependent on them.

So are we expecting this?

GK
Cuadrado De Ligt Bonucci Pellegrini
Perisic Locatelli Pogba
Di Maria Vlahovic Chiesa?

That's very weak full backs and a hit or miss midfield. Coming from one of Pogbas biggest fans.

Experience is functional. I'm not as pessimistic as a lot of you are here. There is talent is this team, it just misses a few important pieces/roles in the squad. A scoring midfielder, a dynamic left back and an assisting winger are probably the most important of them. I'm not saying we should buy 3 oldies and I'm not quite sold on Pogba because of his injuries but we're looking at guys who can make this team click imo.

No, there are numerous rumours about Wijndal/Udogie and Badiashile.

And Perisic will not be playing in a mid 3... That spot is for Zakaria or another transfer in case Arthur leaves. Again, I'm just rehashing what the rumours say ofc.

We're also being linked with Molina. Don't know whether that's a good thing or not.

That’s my call. Literally. Berna, Perisic etc are all quantity signings in my opinion. Some for Rugani and De Sciglio. Obviously you need to have some quantity, but we have many young talented players who are way cheaper and they should fill some of those gaps.

The other signings should be pure quality, the thing we basically lack. Insert the obvious names here.

Lets avoid situations where Berna needs some minutes in order to maintain match fitness and stuff at the cost of someone like Soule. Or at the midfield at the cost of Fagioli. I don’t see why we can’t rotate between talents and top players.

We have a luxury position where we have Fagioli, Rovella, Soule, De Winter, Dragusin, Miretti and Ranocchia who all seem like they should reach a very decent level. Let’s exploit this and avoid the likes of Bernardeschi, Ramsey, Perisic etc. They are way more expensive and already passed their ceiling.

We can but having Soulé as a starting winger ´till Chiesa is back, is not it for me. He's not ready to be a starter or he would´ve been playing already with our problems upfront. So I´m for an extra winger and letting go of Kean in the process. Soulé as a fourth winger with Chiesa still out for a while will definitely find space.

Berna who's in his prime but scored 1 goal, less than Bonucci isnt guarantee either tho.

I think Perisic could be great in 3-5-2 formation

Juventus are targeting three areas in the squad for the summer mercato: a left-back, a prolific midfielder (Pogba the hottest name), and an attacking winger (Di Maria).” @romeoagresti
So basically, 2 free signings, one of the is almost 30y old, till Di Maria 34y old and the most mentioned left-back target is Emerson Palmieri.

Dear god...

Perfect sub what you talking about
Well, he is good as a sub, yes. But he would be a starter 'till Chiesa fully returns. He's 31 and so I guess he's looking for a last long deal while he's not good enough for Juve. Atalanta is also a pain in the ass to deal with so he probably won't come cheap either.
