Its not workhorses its talented players, but ones that give you a more balanced unit both phases of the game. For the best teams, making adjustments is completely normal and shouldnt be viewed as small club mentality

No, pavle lacks comprehension skills and suffers from amnesia like symptoms. Youd be well advised to not take him seriously

Adapting during a game is great tactics wise. Not playing your best players and accommodating them is small club mentality

Hopefully Sarri fucks off but regardless of our head coach our team needs to be rebuilt in a completely fucking different style

We need a serious injection of pace in our wide areas. Full backs included. And TWO midfielders that can actually function in a box to box role.

The lack of pace in this team is shocking.

The reason why people consider Costa so important is not because Costa is a particularly great player, it's because Costa is the only one who can regularly run past his man.

In the Ideal world we would sell or relegate to the bench every player on our starting XI bar MDL, GK, Dybala, Ronaldo and maybe Alex Sandro if we could get a right back that was excellent going forward and OK defensively. But really I'd like him to fuck off too as aside from being useless in an attacking capacity he looks utterly disinterested.

Although as usual we'll end up having one good game against a Brescia or SPAL tier team where everything 'clicks' momentarily and a lot of these players get a pass again

Higuain - €7.5M net
Khedira - €6M net
Ramsey - €7M net
Rabiot - €7M net
Costa - €6.5M net
Pjanić - €7M net
Danilo - €4.5M net

The elephant in the room. Our staggeringly high wage bill. Unless we significantly trim it down, we are going to have problems addressing all our issues with insufficient funds to make the right purchases.

Most of the players in that list are either old/inconsistent or non performers which is appalling to say the least.

First this needs to be fixed.

Jesus.

If you replace Costa with a similar profile winger who isn't broken and the rest with random decent mid table Serie A players on 1/5th of those wages our team would at worst be in the same state it is now.

Unless Ramsey keeps improving and stays fit I'd absolutely love every single one of those players to be sold in the Summer

Put them on the market this summer in case some clubs would buy.

Please get Chiesa and Tonali. Brescia is getting relegated and Tonali will not want to play in B. Just do everything to get him. Same with Chiesa, although Comisso will make it difficult.

We need players with skill, vision, and energy. Chiesa runs an unreal amount down the line and has by far more pace than anyone on our team except for Costa, who is too injured to be relevant. Tonali shows drive, grinta, mobility of a youngster while also better passing skill for the role that we suffer with Pjanic.

Replace Pjanic and Costa with these 2. The wages would be much lower, that transfer fees should cover a good part of it, and we would improve the team.

Allan is basically excommunicated by ADL from Napoli. Get him too. The volume he gives with his running and pressing is above Matuidi, and he comes with a whole different class of technique. A top midfielder in his prime that fits a role we need.

Part of our team has looked lazy for the last 2 seasons, under both coaches. Time to kick start everything again with energetic players that haven't forgotten that running is part of football.

let's start with that.

Sell or terminate 33yo Khedira, I actually like him and appreciate his tenure at Juve, but it is time. We can't keep having so many players that we can't rely on.

Higuain is pretty past it, but still a very useful striker since he has so much class. I don't know what to do with him since we should be planning to move on (as we did last season) but I don't see many alternatives. Higuain is too expensive to have as a back up I think. We sold Kean (for good money) who would have been ideal as a back up striker, but of course not as a starter.

Now the club needs to make a decision on what the striker role should look like: should the CF be a back up to Dybala/Ronaldo or should he be a star that demands playing time? The obvious answer for a top CF that is on the market is Icardi, there isn't anything better than him out there, but if we sign Icardi it is to make him a starter.

So the club has to decide, do we continue with Dybala? Dybala-Ronaldo forces the hand of our coach (whoever it ends up being) it limits the formation and the roles around them. If we stick to these two, then the CF will likely have to be on the bench. Which is a good available CF for this role?

Rugani
Khedira
Matuidi
-> Allan
Pjanic -> Tonali
Costa -> Chiesa
Higuain -> ??

As far as I'm concerned, all of those players can go, especially Ramsey and Khedira.
