Benzema had the 2nd most assists in CL and top level in general of past half decade amongst forwards. He was litterally perfect at setting up Ronaldo and his teammates in very underrated way. And that's just talking direct assist, his skillset and playing style indirectly moulded the perfect role Ronaldo had in that attack.

If Lukaku has more then 1 assist a season I'm surprised. And litterally has the worst first touch amongst his peers. You could not have chosen a worse comparison no matter how hard you tried.

Damn, you got me. The one lumberjack played 9 years for Real Madrid and the other had his best two seasons at team like Everton. I don't want Lukaku but you can make Benzema the french Pele just to prove a point.

Don't tarnish Benzema's name with Scrubkaku. Big Chungus does not have a quarter of Karim's talents. He is the most complete player I have seen in my lifetime when he was at Lyon at peak years in RM. He can do everything; central or drift wide, score all kinds of goals with both feet, world class dribbling, assist, vision, very high football IQ etc.

Can Scrubkaku do anything like that?

i didnt know that agresti is the one who announce when the mercato is closed and open, and according to him after selling two players we got small operations! so whats our operations if we didnt sell them?
Relax, not serious, just funny timing. But yes Agresti is extremely reliable. Serious and close connections

And even if he didnt say anything, its common sense that our mercato is basically done after big changes in attack.

OR you can just admit that you are wrong.
If I see that we have bought Lukaku to be like Mandzukic - playing on the left wing and from time to time as a target man upfront - I'll admit I was wrong. But if we get Lukaku to put him as a target man to help Ronaldo have more freedom - I won't.

Have you actually seen both players play?
More of Benz. For all those years I have been really impressed only once by him. In 2017 CL semi final when he made a cool dribble and assist for an Isco goal. Never really liked him. I remember him being a promising fast dribbling poacher in Olympique Marseilles but to me he never developed his technical abilities and he became a dynamic target man at Real M that gives more freedom to other players.

Lukaku - remember him when Chelsea bought him. It looked like the complete package at first - big, fast, technical, many compared him to Drogba, but Mourinho didn't like him and his career stalled for a few years until he went to Everton where he showed many good things. At Manchester he became lazy and fat and I have serious doubts that he'll be ever the player he used to be for three seasons at Everton. In his Everton days he was more selfish than Benz and he was the focal point of the team unlike Benz where he was the second string upfront for most of the time. Overall abilities - Benz is smaller and more dynamic, but technically Benzema never reached the potential he showed when he was young and for many years became the decoy boy of Ronaldo.

I don't want Lukaku here but I ain't bitching and complaining. Feels like a female forum.

I DO NOT like Benzema, he has stagnated and been underwhelmimg for a while, defenitely disappointing development to what was expected in Lyon days despite highly accomplished career.

But I'm talking in pure terms skillset and playstyle. He was never a poacher and is a naturally very gifted footballer (he was a wing forward that broke down defenses on his own in Lyon), not just striker, but footballer. His technique, ball control, passing game makes him an extremely well rounded CF, since he is a 9 too. Minor skillset of a nr 10 in a 9s body.

That's why I say him and Lukaku has very little in common. Lukaku is a strong and mobile box striker with decent finishing ability awful technique. He is not complete or well rounded at all.
