Cancelo is a huge dilemma..
On one hand he is fast great technique can dribble very well and attack in a great way on the other hand his defensive work is... not exactly satisfying for his position..
The thing is Cancelo needs space to work and he works best when coming from behind to attack which means AMR is not exactly the best place for him.
The best position for him is a RWB in a 3 men defense formation - This will relieve some of the pressure that is on him when defending and will allow him to attack.
Also 3 CB means better coverage in defense (at least on paper)..
Unless we start playing 3-5-2 I dont think it would be wise to keep him when we can fetch 50M-60M for him...

To be fair to him he is usually excellent at keeping possession under pressure at the back and it a big positive for the team. The Ajax mistake was terrible but I'm confident if you gave him the same pass 100 times he'd control it comfortably just about every time.
His head seemed to go towards the end of the season and looked like he had lost his usual confidence.
I think his defensive weakness is not nearly as bad as is made out and he has improved there. At 24, being probably the best RB in Serie A during his season at Inter and being superb for the first half of the season I'd be very disappointed to see us selling him.
I used to prefer more defensive RB/LB's but the game has changed and we now need them to be additional attackers. Although I'm confident that he can improve defensively.
