Our window of opportunity to catch up with top 3 clubs has closed

This very upcoming summer we were supposed to slowly replace the old guard while sitting on a bunch of WC players preserved and added during our years of deep CL runs 2015-2018. Those players were supposed to be a cushion when we replace the aging backbone

Now we have failed to provde those players and the time has come to replace our old guard. As consequence when the support wheels come off there is no driver and we topple

Psychologically, we have embarrassed ourselves once again on big stage and sent the according signal to potential signings.

We NEEDED to go big after CL finals, starting XI material, not depth. We showed we did not care and here's the consequence

Fuck all of this situation

Even winning a CL wouldn't change our transfers.

Getting to the final twice, but weakening your team is the only confirmation we need. Our level is dominating a shit league, and any time we knock out one of the big boys in the CL we're overachieving and the players that help us achieve that will be sold

Sadly for us the 'big boys' CL list is growing. Now you have City and possibly 1 or 2 more English teams soon enough. Plus PSG will inevitably hire a world class coach one day and a couple of less flamboyant players and they'll be up there.

Realistically, taking emotion out of it, we're going to have to be satisfied with bowing out in the last 16/8 depending on our group and the draw.

Yeah. You're on the list. Definitely.

Couldn't agree more, the management call a CL quarter final a success so that means they just are happy to participate no intentions of going all the way

I will say the 2015 team was capable of going all the way had we not dismantled the team and built on it for the next season

If we kept our 2015 team and revitalised the attack we'd have made a strong attempt in the next 2 seasons definitely.
please, don't you know that agents have so much power now? Would be literally impossible for Beppe to hold Pogba in his contract and sell him in 2019 for 50mil, also being less of a catholic nun in regards of Vidal's drinking when you knew you could have never replaced him even remotely. Additionally working out the Bonucci situation like professionals so 38yo Barzagli doesn't have to play against Ronaldo in a goddamn CL quarter final. Last but not least releasing Dani Alves from his contract for free like an act of charity towards fucking PSG that now come after Sandro and Pjanic. Beppe apologists got served the bill just fine yesterday

Meh most of them will still live in denial as they truly believe that keeping players for any length of time is impossible, even though it happens all the time outside of Juventus and everybody can see it.

That level of cognitive dissonance can't be argued with.

Yes, let's pass on Can if he is available. Not because he isn't good enough, 'cause he is, but 'cause soem irrational and conceited "my juve feelings are hurt"-argument.

That's soem solid stupidity.

I'd try for Hamsik (or someone similar). We need a mid that can drive the ball forward. Apparently Hamsik leads the league in forward passing. That would help Higuain/Dybala.

that ship has sailed. He is too old now. 2-3 years ago Nedved flirted with him saying he is the heir of pavel. he would fit perfect in juventus etc. And it would all be true. Just imagine how good he would've become here. He is great at napoli but here he'd be devastating.

That's why I said "or someone like him".

We really need a CM capable of surging forward with the ball or pushing the ball forward in our transition. It's painful watching ours...
