We don't have so much money to be spent. We are signing Höwedes with loan + option, plus buying 2 Genoa youngsters and that's it.

We have the money, but we only buy players at a price we find interesting.

For me they are basically the same person but Marotta has the final word. So Paratici takes over, and let's see if he gets the job done... I'm trying to stay positive but this transfer window has been woeful. We need WC players, and we bought only 2nd tier players at best.

Would love to have Keita but let's be real here, he would've only come if Cuadrado was sold and even then, we're already over stacked in attack. Our coach hasn't used our newest signings for a single minute in the league so going by that trend, Keita would've had to wait 6 months maybe to get minutes at Juventus. He's young and explosive and he'll benefit from getting solid game time at another club, not at Juventus. We're already stacked in attack. Also it's easier to convince somebody like Cuadrado to be a backup than someone like Keita.

Mandzukic and Fatso won't be around forever. Keita will be getting minutes sooner than you expect should he come here, especially in the CL.

I feel this is Mandzu's final year, Higuain will only get slower and fatter with age, Cuadrado might be on his way out, Pjaca will only hit peak form in March/April if not early next season, and Kean needs to go out on loan.

Keita is an opportunity no doubt. We shouldn't be so fucking stubborn. 20+ million for a player of his quality is ridiculously low, even if he is on the final year of his contract. We could easily sell him for 60-70 million in two seasons anyway. Isn't that what Marotta is all about? The Plusvalenza.

In any case, I want us to maintain good relations with Lazio, as they have quality players we can potentially use as early as next season. I'd rather the best talents stay in Serie A, since we can't get the best from the other leagues.

Summed up these last 10 pages. Why didn't Marotta pay 80m for two subs? This mercato sucks! It doesn't matter that we got Matuidi, Howedes and Szczesny for 40mil.


Sure they look promising but we can't go buying every talented player in the market and figure out later what we do with them.

Without a buyout clause, we're absolutely going to have to pay through the nose for Strootman. I just don't see that happening.

Howedes and another midfielder should be the focus in the last couple of days.
