IF it stays like this and don't improve the defense.

How's Höwedes doing? Rumours of us interested and some EPL clubs too.

If our net spend is like 40M over two summers, realistically how much longer can we maintain a top 4 squad? I give it 3 seasons max unless we stumble on some gems or start spending like a club that's not outside the top 20 in revenue.
This is my concern, if Milan continues spending and inter too (once they've sorted out their FFP restrictions), plus those oil clubs abroad, then it's over for us in the long run

I think we're looking to create a full squad that's capable of playing many formations and 3-man midfield definitely is something Max could turn to during the season, considering how Cardiff ended. Then again, if Bentancur fulfills his promise, Pjanič-Khedira-Marchisio-Matuidi-Bentancur-Sturaro could sustain a 3 man midfield at least until January
Lots of options indeed and I agree unless possibly 3 man MF is used extensively.

    Buffon
    Spinazzola - Rugani - Chiellini - Sandro
    Marchisio - Pjanic - Matuidi
    Dybala - Higuain - Costa
Nice starting 11 on paper and add Mario, Berna, and possibly Cuads at times for a potent attacking group with options.

I know we want the best 11 for the most part to win the CL title but over a long season I think quality depth is needed. I would have to look it up but my guess is out of necessity Roma and Napoli had their key players play more minutes in serie than Juve. Does that wear them down? Of course their objective is to win the scudetto while Juve's is that plus CL title.

And would like to look at the minute distribution of Real's team for league play but probably more closely mirrors Juve's. IMO all up to Max on getting the right combo of players in their best form by early next year and hope for the best in CL action.

I think Allegri absolutely wants to shift the entire time between two completely different formations.

We are stacked beyond belief for 4231

And if we get Gomes, we are also stacked beyond belief vor a 4-3-3

We can bench dybala, and play wingers+gonzalo
We can bench gonzalo, and play 4-3-3 false 9

In fact, we pretty much can rotate whatever we want and still pick 2 formations
I'm busting a nut at the thought. Didn't Beppe say, after matuidi, that we will for sure sign another midfielder before mercato is up? we will have so many options. such flexibility. so capable of bamboozling other teams in CL with our shifting formations :tuttosport: :tuttosport:

What a weird Mercato this has been.

Anyways, im left with The feeling that we will be fine with The squad we have now. Matuidi Was a good move. My only real concern is RB position, as i feel we obviously lack the attacking Quality we had there last season. If spinazzola comes i Will be delighted, altough im not completely licking his ball-sack like some members here is (he is not that heavenly good, be honest)

What i do really like about our current squad is The depth and combinations we can set up with our new backups/replacements. Flexibility. Like Bruce Lee said : be formless like water.

A lot of people underestimate the importance of having The possibility to rest key players. Madrid and Zidane, for example , took full effect of this last season.

I was worried after losing Bonnie, but these things happen and im positive we can transition into something different, but at The same time great and effective.

These weeks Will be very interesting , in a sense that if we do (or dont) sign anyone we Will know a lot about Allegri/Marotta/The clubs ambition and strategy.

Im sure we Will do well, anyways. Forza Juve  :flag3: :scarf:

They seem to occur with regularity @ Juve. One year, it's Vidal; the next it's Pogba. This season, Bonucci has exited the premises. I wonder what the future holds. :numnum:
