How can we not have money? Why are we being cheap ass penny pinching mofos? We reached 2 CL finals, making more money than any other team in the process, over the past 3 seasons. It's truly baffling. :boh:
in terms of revenue we're 10th in Europe, is it really that baffling to you? according to Forbes we're 41m euros a year ahead of Dortmund while ManUtd, which are in first place, make twice as much every year. http://www.totalsportek.com/money/richest-football-clubs/ our CL revenue is a non-argument here, we need it to sustain our wage bill

next year our mercato will consist in only freebies. :beppe:
I just wish that I'll live to witness another summer like 2011, that was one majestic summer, best I've ever seen

Our defensive steadiness depends on what De Sciglio and Rugani will show... As for midfield and attack; we're stronger in both areas, much stronger. The building up from the back has been a problem in 1 game. Imagine that; one game in which Rugani & De Sciglio/Lichtsteiner didn't play (apart from Desci in the few minutes we were actually better).

What we still need to try is Spinazzola & a loaned midfielder, sell Sturaro & Asamoah & forget about a deadline day Keita bid...

Surprised people are crying so much over a D. Costa, Bernardeschi, Matuidi, Szczęsny, Bentancur, De Scapegoatlia mercato. I guess I rate Costa much higher than most, probably Berna and Matuidi also.

Bonucci is a huge, and unexpected loss. What a twat. It does throw a wrench in the 4-2-3-1, too, because he was like a 3rd midfielder in our buildup play. However, I'm glad we're not reaching for Garay at 25-30M bucks, or something similar, with Caldara waiting in the wings. Rugani is ready to start, that transition needs to happen right now. Would also prefer a more calculated (higher quality and probably more expensive) CB buy next summer, when Chiello is a year older, and Barzagli retires. The market is ridiculously inflated right now, hopefully management can find some good opportunities for the future.

We definitely need a RB, that's the big issue. Unless De Scapegoatlia turns into Cafu, like B81 promised. Or somebody gets Lichtsteiner some good drugs.

All the same: this CL finalist has significantly upgraded the attack, upgraded the midfield, upgraded in goal. For me, about a 6.5/10 mercato right now, with room for improvement if Spina comes. That's considering Leo left, also. Otherwise, it would be more like 7.5 pushing 8, for me.

Dybala will be better this year, Rugani will assert himself as a starting CB, Pjanic will take another big step forward. Blaise is going to be a huge upgrade over Lemina/Rincon/Sturaro, and I think Marchisio is definitely going to be much better than last year. We haven't even seen anything out of Pjaca yet, so there's our long shot wild card (and possibly a way to phase Cuadrado out even more). Things are actually looking pretty good for this squad from where I sit, so all of the whinging seems over the top.

From the looks of it, our squad seems to be a lot more balanced.

well almost all of our transfers seem to have a huge question mark hanging over them:
D.Costa - should we really pay that kind of money for Bayern reserves with not so great numbers? I'd have been fully supportive if he was an opportunity signing, but 47m is a lot. they signed him for 30m two years ago and I don't think he improved his stock since then
Berna - I got nothing, I love the guy
Matuidi - will he bench Khedira or will he only be useful in 3 man midfield?
Szczesny - probably best backup goalie in the world, but is this guy really our Buffon replacement?
Bentancur - always good to invest in exciting youth, again I got nothing :D
MDS - very underwhelming as Alves replacement

overall it's not tragic, but considering Bonucci and D.Alves departing and considering Buffon, Barzagli, Licht are gone as well next year, the direction we're taking is worrying

i don't think the squad is more balanced, i just think the weaknesses shifted from the attack to the defense. bonucci and alves are two wc players we let go and failed to replace. that licht & de sciglio pair is especially underwhelming for a team playing 2 cl finals during the last 3 seasons.

Way too many drama queens here. Our options for the final third shite all over anything milan roma inter or napoli have to offer. Matuidi has improved our midfield and we are clearing out the average players.

Rugani finally gets his chance and can hold his own.

RB is the issue...and to be honest i can see de sciglio improving under allegri and becoming solid.

Defense hasn't won us the CL guys. But we have fallen to real, barca and even bayern due to their fire power. Our time to change mentality and rape teams defenses.

You won't find another GK like Buffon so just get used to settling for less. Szczesny did great at Roma, he'll probably start for us after Gigi retires. De Gea, Courtouis, etc. are untouchable.

You can make such compilation even about Buffon, or even Messi's misses. It's 2 minutes long out of 15000 minutes of his career.
agreed. also, he had a very good last year at roma. btw i've got a buddy who happens to be a juventino and a goalie coach for our nt's ex-keeper's goalie academy, and he's impressed by szczesny.
