Poor Mercato, but at least we saved our three stars. - Bremer, Chiesa and Vlahovic. However, the team and Alegri needs to do some magic to get top 4 finish this season. Top 3 teams are clear - Napoli, Inter and Milan. So us , Roma or Lazio for last spot. Roma have another great mercato and have better team than ours. Let’s see what will happen!
You know the situation is dire when those 3 are your stars.

cuz there are two players better than him
How can you be so sure of that? You're basing this off a couple of preseason performances?

If Weah gets himself injured then we have no one but Cambiaso to cover for that flank and there's no guarantee that he won't disappoint. Mckennie as RWB is a proven disaster so that's out of the question. So that leaves you with who to replace Cambiaso on the left with? Sandro?

Selling Kostic would be an even dumber and short-sighted move by Giuntoli than letting Rovella go for pennies.

It makes sense to not spend anything since we don't have anything. I am also glad we are not spending until we have a new coach. Don't want any Lukakus or whatever that suits Allegri but not whoever takes over next season. If we can scrape by and manage a top four, great, but I am not convinced we will. Even if we splashed out, somehow, I doubt we would see a significant improvement under Allegri. We would still scrape by and hopefully reach the fourth spot.
Putting my hopes on Lazio imploding and Lukaku and Dybala having a normal season (out most of the time). Then we have a better chance of reaching fourth spot. Will be interesting to follow Milan's midfield (CMs) this season and see if it works out or they put their eggs in the wrong baskets.

Based on what exactly? Kostic was our top assister last season and he was amongst one of the most consistent players in europe the season before at eintracht, as much as I like iling he hasn't shown anywhere like the figures Kostic has produced the last couple of years and neither has cambiaso for that matter

I agree and disagree
First - at the moment Kostic is the better player but you just cant ignore Illing`s potential.
RWB is a bit of problematic as we dont have anyone but Weah.
There is also the big issue with playing players out of positions. A.Sandro should never be a CB, Chiesa is definitely at his best when he cuts inside from the left...

The club need money - The left side is relatively stacked. Its not that much of a bad idea to sell him to get money if you cant get it by selling others.
Kostic vs Illing - Given the potential of the later and the hope we see some attacking minded football next season, I tend to agree that selling Kostic is the right decision if its between Kostic and Illing. The only thing I disagree with is the price we should get at least 20M+bonuses and I would have suggested a higher price should we not be in that difficult financial situation.

Juve will only sell Kostic on a permanent deal for €15/20M. No loans with right/option to buy. Galatasaray is not interested, West Ham United are (but for now there are no offers from the London club). (@_Morik92_)

You know what I mean...
I know what you mean but I trust Tognozzi and his scouting. He might be the most important man at the club right now not named Giuntoli. He's been credited with finding the majority of the young talents at Juve right now, guys like Huijsen, Yildiz, Iling, etc. With where theyre at financially, those young guys are gonna be crucial. Tognozzi is allegedly the one that pushed for Comenencia, and seeing how much they invested in him (relative to nextgen) suggests he could be promoted sooner than later.
