Frenkie de Jong has indicated to the Barcelona board that he wants to leave the club. His preferred destination is Juventus. He wants to link up with De Ligt, and his inspiration Andrea Pirlo. De Jong also rates Chiesa and wants to play with him. Updates to follow

I would rather hire a manager with ideas of how he wants to play, over someone whos always adapting to the players at his disposal. Pirlo wanted an aggressive, possession based style of football, and didnt have the right players for it. Max would have gotten us better results for sure, but in given the right kind of players, I believe Pirlos ideal 11 players would trash an adapted Max side. Im not all against Max, but we criticised him for never showing a style of football, and always getting the result, just barely. We are Juventus, and we need to win comfortably, not a narrow 0-1 away to provincial sides. Pirlos ideas are long term, Max's ideas are temporary. We need to go through with this project that was started last year, sign the missing pieces, and trust that its not a managers job to motivate the players, it should be themselves and a stadium of 50k fans..
And what has Pirlo shown to suggest he's the man for the long run?

Where is this blind belief coming from?

His ideas are just on paper. I didn't even see an ounce of his supposed potential in our games. Signing a couple of players isn't going to change much.

This is a club that aims to win every year. We are not Arsenal to wait for a coach to implement his 'philosophy' while wasting several years in mediocrity.

    Exactly.
Im not even commenting about Pirlo`s potential as its irrelevant how good he will be in the future while our present sucks.
If he becomes good he can come back - until then lets get someone who knows what he is doing.

    Agree with the bolded parts.

But Pirlo is just clearly not the right person for the job. First we need to win, and then to win comfortably. With Pirlo we get neither we just lose.

If Zidane or Pep or Klopp are available and affordable sure I'll take them over Allegri and continue the long term project but if these folks are staying where they are or are out of budget for us, then a return to boring but winning football is definitely better than winning less than Milan and Atalanta.

Maybe Allegri for a couple of years to restore winning ways and then upgrade to a more offensive coach again?

Inter planning an exodus worth 80m.

Time to go all in for Barella!
Bastoni more realistic imo. His agent already made a stink about Inter going back on renewal promises, and will consider future if they don't hold their promises etc. While Barella seems like the type to stick around and become their captain.

Talking bout a midfield revolution. With whom? I made an effort to watch a few Auour games. He's a younger, probably less injury prone Ramsay. That is, for all that joga bonita, he never get the job done. Bad shooter of the ball.

Like Chiesa, Locatelli will blow up with us. He really is a fine player.

Pogba's happy at a more successful United, no? British pundits don't cut him much slack but I feel towards Pogba the same I do towards to Morata. This club brings out the best in them for some unknown reason.

McKennie was one of our best this season.

Rabiot just needs a kick up the arse (a coach like Conte would fulfil his potentia). When he takes the initiative with the ball and runs at players, that's when he's at his best. But if he wants to remain a pretrofied footbzlldf5then it's bye bye.

The only mids I would trade without Doubt would be Ramsay and Bentancur.
