Why? He wouldn’t be the first one to make a successful transition. There’s precedent there. He’s got the skillset to be real good as a DM, better than any other position imo. He‘s not that old, no reason why he couldn’t be effective for the next three years.
Its his first match with us there, a much bigger sample size is needed. I'd still buy two midfielders that are certain to give a quality boost and if Danilo succeeds there all the better for us

Yeah obviously the sample size is small, but theres no reason he couldn’t get a long look until the end of the season, especially considering Bentancurs performances and Cuadrado needing space. If it works, you‘ve filled a massive hole and can focus on mids that are maybe more attack minded.

As for the next coach - Gasperini got some extra points.

“Inter would have won nothing without Calciopoli, the trend changed with Mourinho, while Benitez deserved more credibility and I was given only two months,” he added in another interview given to Sportmediaset.
“Then it was a satisfaction to finish in front of them with Genoa.”
“I’ve never coached a top club. Inter were not a top club, at least considering their technical values.”

Now tell me he shouldnt be contender no`1...

Gasperini loses or wins doesnt mean a thing.
What he has done with Atalanta is remarkable.
They also dont concede much considering his side's real strength and the way he plays.
If he comes he should be able to get more goals while our defense should be about the same as we have a better defense..
This if all works according plans.

This being said I really like Klopp Zidane and usually Inzaghi

Don't see that team as an improvement tbh. Don't get this hype surrounding Depay.
It's an improvement on paper (because of Gosens and Locatelli) but Depay and Ronnie both naturally coming from the left would end in disaster. Waste of money and space.

What I'd like to see is someone like Traoré who can play CM and backup on the left. And an actual big prima punta like Dembele, Zapata,... Missing out on Milik "for free" as a backup sadly complicates things financially for us.
