Pump and dump is everything nowadays. Not that in the old days the financial analysis and future projections were so meaningful anyway, but nowadays they are completely pointless.
Adding statistical analysis, machine learning, and vice president business cards to people doesn't suddenly stop them from being human at their core, and subject to all of the usual human frailties and insecurities.
