I don't know. My head hurts. I think it may happen next year if we can't land Firmino, Mikh, Calanhoglu....
Honestly, all I want is the next great Italian trequartista :(

Is that so hard to ask? Italy stopped producing them, and now all we have is an abundance of "centrocampistas" and mediocre prima puntas. It's quite depressing.

It's like the Universe saw what happened with Cassano and said Italy deserves no more "fantasista", let's just give them all to Germany, and while we're at it, let's give them Italy's higher value industrial production as well, and send the rest to China!

Marotta is a joke for not pulling 30mln out of his ass and pay for this overrated injury prone "talent".

He was also a joke when we didn't just pay 25mln for Iturbe, or when he offered only 9mln for Tevez.
Nobody wanted Tevez. If they did, we wouldn't have gotten him. Obviously.

Marotta should be gone after this season, give someone else a try.

:agree: and :agree:

Some were truly exceptional signings like Tevez, Llorente (in the first season AND if you consider what we had for strikers before), Vidal and so on.

But It's important to emphasize most of those signings were players nobody wanted, rejects, for the lack of a better word. We're only successful in dealings with players who aren't sought after and/or weren't good enough to have called attention to themselves.

Not happy with this to be honest. Juventus are the biggest scavengers in today's transfer market.

Cnuts got Pogba, Pirlo, Llorente and Vidal for like £13m combined

Have we told them they can have him in a swap deal for Vidal and Pogba yet?
Well as was posted in the Vidal thread...

yeah it's amazing how people here always criticize marotta for not getting "wanted" players. whatever the fuck that means. but then you look fans of other clubs and you can see how jelous they are of juventus for putting together a 3time back to back team of champions on a budget of less than 80m.

You, ve got to be kidding me. Players nobody wanted xD. Europe was all over Llorente...
Not entire Europe but Arsenal and Spurs were certainly interested in him at one point. They were our 'main competition' infact.
There were a few Madrid links too but they mainly wanted him as a backup.
