Marotta is a joke for not pulling 30mln out of his ass and pay for this overrated injury prone "talent".
He was also a joke when we didn't just pay 25mln for Iturbe, or when he offered only 9mln for Tevez.

Shaqiri for 15 million was a great deal.
Mandzukic for 20 million was a great deal.
Sneidjer for 20 million is an awful deal.
Iturbe for 25 million is a terrible deal.
The one aberration is Morata though. I understand liking a player, but not only is that outlay risky, you've capped your upside. That purchase was foolish. I can understand if you trust your scouts, and you're certain that his value is 20 million euro, however, as soon as RM inserts the buyback clause at 10 million more than you paid, which is pocket change for them, its a no go for me.
Its obvious that with Marotta you will probably not waste your capital, however, he will also be very opportunistic with his purchases, meaning that if there is a glaring need for the squad, and he may need to overpay, you probably won't be filling that hole.
It could be worse though. Roma has shown an extreme propensity lately to waste money. Wouldn't want to be them, especially because they don't have the cash flow to support it.

The talent is there. No denying that. I'm afraid of the injuries he got. Seems a big risk. I'd like to buy guys with that potential talent who would come cheaper.
