Don't really agree with this. Had he better defenders to work with, Bilbao would have had a legendary season. They were beating United, Sporting and Schalke close by the end, so don't see how they were dead on their legs.
The problem was pretty clear, his counter attack system was unbelievably good but they never learned how to defend themselves from it. A good example is that match against PSG, i remember they conceded 4 goals while scoring 2. Actually i remember several matches where they would concede 2 or 3 goals but would score 3 or 4. That's how they got where they were, by relying on the offensive side of the team.

The policy is very convenient and wishy-washy -- kinda like a religion, where you get to decide which rules are easier to obey than others. Why don't they demand it apply to all employees and not just the ones they can't do without (their non-Basque coaches)?

On another note, Messi has wanqed 3 free kicks from the edge of the box neither coming close. Seen him take loads before always ending in the same result......wide. Ronaldo on the other hand is so much more deadly. Think Messi should give those free kick duties to someone else and stop hogging all the limelight. Hobbit.
