That is such a bullshit excuse. For one, he never tormented my team, we drew them 4 times in the league and they beat us twice, once 1-0 with an offside goal by Drogba, and once 2-0 which was a match they did indeed completely outplay us, the rest of the games were draws.
If you're going to use that logic, then look at what Guardiola did to Wenger, twice he thrashed Wenger, and completely outplayed him in the CL. Fact is, Guardiola has tormented Wenger so much more than Mourinho has, so going by that logic i should hate Guardiola more.

Exactly. He's making history with Barca, and he's beating the likes of Mourinho, and Ferguson again and again and again. People can keep on denying it if they like, but his results speak for themselves.
who coached madrid when di stefano was wrecking havoc?

I see what you did there.

But i think Guardiola will be remembered. CL now is so much more competitive than it was when it first started and there was about 12 teams participating or something like that.

 Allow me to decipher it for you, you simpleton :p

Managers, tenure at club (Real Madrid), and titles won, as requested by Deneb ;)

The other numbers are just games coached, wins, losses, draws, and goal difference. You know the drill :D

CL this season blows, probably the worst one so far.

As for Guardiola he will be remembered because he won many trophies. But he won those with Barcelona who had the best team out there. We'll see how he does when he leaves Spain, I think he'll win nothing on that level while we'll see a new coach at Barca play the same way they do now.

Why didn't they win this many trophies before him?

How about the CL's they won before this year? They can't all be poor CL's, can they?

Didn't Barcelona end up in 3rd place in the Liga, and lost to United in the CL after they were completely outclassed tactically and contained, only for Pep to win every trophy in front of him the season after that immediately and to face United in the final of the CL, and he in turn outclassed Ferguson tactically and played his team off the park?

You can't explain all that because he had a good group of players. This group of players have incidentally played their best football under Pep, and unlike you, i don't think luck has anything to do with 4 consecutive seasons of consistency and trophies, anyone who denys Guardiola's work at Barcelona is obviously biased.

Why do you keep ignoring how much they choked before they had the players for their philosophy? Spain have been benefitting from the same players. As I wrote earlier; their current succes was based on the foundation layed, when Riijkard started coaching Barca.

The man has got to be doing something right. No matter how amazing a Ferrrari or Lambo is, it needs a driver behind the wheel; the car isn't going to drive itself.

In this case, Guardiola is the driver, steering his super powered car in the direction of titles. You could argue that without his guidance/tutelage/mentoring Messi might not have become the player he is today.

Before 2006 barca were the ultimate chokers especially in Europe. In 2006 when UEFA wanted to put the spotlight on Ronaldinho for some reason, go watch the final again, even if your team lost that match, and watch how the camera focuses on Ronaldinho and the Nike logo on his chest. That publicity stunt actually was not only in the final but in all barca games. The camera would zoom in on Ronaldinho, zoom out, zoom in on the Nike logo each and every time he was taking a free kick.

Back to 2006, in that particular year when the money makers found their icon, they started helping barca, the cheating started with the Chelsea game and it got blatant in the semi final against Milan.

Ever since then, ever since the most horrible year in football, barca has become extremely favoured by the referees that it became disgusting. In 2006 barca stopped being chokers but became cheaters. Maybe it is not their fault but someone/something is making sure that they cheat their way to the titles.

Anyway, it's all a chain reaction, just like Inter post Calciopoli, you need that little push until things start going your way. One day, at least that's what I hope, barca will go back to their choking self. barca will go back to being the laughing stock of Europe, they will go back to over paying for Winston Bogarde and Overmars and end up titleless.

Speaking of Messi, he has been voted best player in the world in every year Pep has been his coach, and Xavi has been in the top 3 in every year Pep has coached him, neither have reached those levels before Pep, but i guess thats a co-incidence too.
