Stop whining about not having enough star players people. Look at what Greece did with their mediacore (even thats too high a rating) lineup against the superstart line up of the French/Portugese. If Juve can play like a team with their current players they can beat Milan, Real Madrid, or any team basing their teams around superstars. I'm not saying Juve, dont buy some new defenders and players, but dont worry if Juves lineup is not as superstary as Inters, Milans, or Real Madrids.
And IMO, Stam was a mistake for Milan. They dont need him. Maldini is not the left-back he once was and doesnt want to play that position. Stam is a CB and a very defensive LB. Milan should have bought a younger defender instead of some 30+ year old guy (who is good, but not an investment). Last season, Milan relied very much on the attacking wings of Cafu and Pancaro, now if they replace Pancaro with the more defensive Stam, that will weaken their attacking options on the wings, since their midfielders are more centre attacking players.
Crespo deal was a bonus since it was free, but if you think about it, on JDTs form and Shevas incredible form, and Inzaghi out to make a mark, I can only see two of these four players (JDT and Pippo) loosing their touch a bit because of unimportant matches they will be allowed to play. A Striking partnership is a very delicate one, and can be very unsuccessful sometimes. If Ancelotti tries a rotation system with these four strikers, I can see some problems forming.
What Milan really needed this summer was 1 young CB, 1 young LB, one young winger and 1 young striker, rather than 2 veterans who are most probably past their primes. Don't get me wrong, Milan have the capabilities of winning big time this year, but in order for them to continue winning big time, each season they are going to need to buying new players (since each season, a few of their players would be entering the retirment stage because of age).
