Well, the reason why he won't come to Juve isn't important, but the fact is he won't, so this thread is pointless, there's more chance Campbell joining, and that's like 1 in 100 chance.

Obviously Mutu isn't too happy with Chelsea since he barely got to play last season. I don't see a reason for benching Eidur or Mutu playing behind the strikers when they've got Lampard. Also, spending as much as they did on Kezman and Drogba, they surely won't be benching those, so Mutu is way back there in the pecking order. Campbell, on the other hand, gets 90k euros per week (or maybe sterling) so you decide who's more likely to attract the attention of Moggi. ;)

Chelsea has four strikers, so even if Mutu is 4th choice, that's about the same role if he would come to Juve, behind DP, Treze and Di Vaio.
I can see Campbell signing as we are in need of a defender, not an extra striker who is similar to DP and Miccoli. and Campbell gets £90k a week, I think arsenal offered him £45k, and Juve apparently offered £60k.

o yea forgot about gudjohnson! lol

i jus remembered Forsell and Cole, whats happening with those guys? Forsell was really impressive last season but im not sure whats happened 2 him, if they bring him back maybe we can get Mutu
Cole spent last season on loan at Charlton, where he did okay, mostly from the bench - to be fair, he was fighting Di Canio for a place in the team. Aston Villa and Charlton are currently cat-fighting for him on loan this season.

Forsell was amazing last season, but Chelsea have allowed Birmingham loan him for another season. It's their loss - I think he's potentially twice the player Drogba is.

Agree, about Forsell, he is a natural born scorer, not particularlly skillful or strong, but always there at the right place at the right time. Drogba is no way worth £26 million, but its Chelsea you automatically add £10 million on top :)

I'm under the impression Valencia is keen on Di Vaio and I don't think Capello is too impressed with him, so he might leave. I hope all this crap ends soon so we can finally know who the heck is playing with us next season. :groan:

This is what's driving me crazy:

DROGBA FACTFILE
1978: Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast
1983: Moves to France
1993: Gives up football for a year
1994: Wins trial with Levallois
1997: Wins trial with Guingamp, but breaks toe
2000: Scores seven goals playing for Le Mans
2001: Scores five goals for Le Mans
2001/2: Moves to Guingamp, scores three goals in 11 games
2002/3: Scores 17 times for Guingamp; runner-up African Footballer of the Year
2003/4: Joins Marseille for £4m; scores 18 goals in 35 league games; voted Footballer of the Year in France

His "shining" pretty much started in 02/03 season and don't let that runner-up African Footballer of they year fool you. He scores several goals in the CL and now Chelsea is drooling ready to spend 24.5 million sterling on him.

I hadn't seen that before. He really does seem a very dodgy investment for Chelsea - Mutu might see a lot more of the first team than we might think.

Hi friends

Its only a rumor, is not oficial.

In the article, says that Juve wants Mutu and he can return to play in italy, since Inter, Verona and Parma.

Drogba go to Chelsea for $39 millions OFFICIAL

If Di Vaio goes, Mutu can be usefull. But i think we need defenders not fowards

PLease Moggi: CANNAVARO, CAMPBELL, OR UJFALUSI!!!

At this stage Mutu isn't necessary. If Di Vaio is part of the Cannavaro deal or goes to Valencia as has been touted recently, then maybe, but currently our priority is central defenders.

Cannavaro, Campbell, Ujfalusi and Juan are the names being called atm, and right now any of them would be more than welcome.

I don't know much about Juan, but Cannavaro and Campbell are both proven defenders at the highest level, while Ujfalusi seems to be a good prospect for the future and impressed me in Portugal. Speaking of impressing me at Euro 2004, no-one did that more than Ricardo Carvalho. Apparently he's close to Madrid, but if Moggi brought him in as the surprise signing we're supposed to be treated with I'd be overjoyed.

I'm aware of the fact that there's still plenty of time left, but I'm getting impatient and slightly nervous. Now wouldn't be a bad time to make something happen you know, Mr Moggi.

Nice 1 man i had no idea wht had happened to them, sometimes chelsea have more money than sense.

Stuart, i agree with what u r saying about the need for central defenders and bringing in Carvallho as the suprise would b amazing, but, i do think that we also need a back up striker. While Mutu is a similar player to Miccoli and Del Piero he has something special about him, 2 years ago he was 2nd highest scorer and the highest assister in Seria A, this shows a special talent and he is clearly more than capable for playing either the Trezeguet striking role ( Lazy, goal-hanging trying to get a head on something and random shooting) and also the del piero role (drop back and create your own chances) He might not b as good in the air as trez but he has more pace, more skill, better dribling skills which may work to his advantage and he is not pathetic in the air, i really really wish tht we could clinch this signing i believe tht it would point Juve in the right direction

And edge, i would personally build clubs and bars in Turin if that is what it takes 2 pursuade mutu to join :D

I personally don't think that Mutu would succeed in the Trezeguet role and that's where we need cover upfront. Miccoli needs to get more playing time, and Mutu's arrival would limit that. Gilardino is the man to get imo.

Yea there is no doubt tht Gila is the man get for the trezeguet role but even if we do buy him this year he would remain on loan at parma untill next season when he would be brought into the Juventus team, as for miccoli he has said that he dosent mind playin on the wing and he would be used in rotation along with the other forwards as a partner to trez who also be used in rotation, hey i can even see a Mutu-Miccoli partnership workin!
