Hopefully the signing of mutu will bring out the best in DP and Miccoli, seriously i recon this would b 1 of the best transfers moggi could make

Tell me u didn't just say that!!!

Del Piero has done way more than Mutu in serie A over the years.......... U have a very short memory...

97-98 season DP scored 22gls in 32games and was top goalscorer in the CL with 10goals and also scored a couple in the Coppa Italia

This makes no sense, unless one of the trio DP-Miccoli-Mutu is to be deployed in midfield, we now have 3 players of the same "kind" and given that DP has just signed a bigass contract, it very much seems like the club still has faith in him. And Mutu is full of himself, he's not the type to accept the role of a substitute.

I am all for a 4-3-3, or at least for a three men midfield. Although your version with Nedved, Del Piero and Miccoli is very offensive, I think it could work. Nedved is know for his hard working play, but I honestly think, that at the moment, we should play a 4-3-1-2, with Miccoli coming from the bench. With that system, we could controll the game, would cover the defense perfect, and also have a lot of creative players included. Miccoli is not a real winger, thats my problem. However, I think that he could become a winger, as he has skills, a good shot, is a hell of a passer and is very speedy. Maybe Capello can "transform" him into a right-winger. that would be great. Imagine that midfield:

IMO great, but at the moment, I think that Miccoli lacks defensive skills. If he is ready to adopt that role, do the defensive part thats needed for this role, I see no problem. After all, Del Piero will surley play for two or three years, Nedved at least 2 years and I am sure Miccoli doesn't want to wait, so adopting this role would give him the chance, to become a regular.

mutu would be a great signing coz he's great and young player. but we already have two players similar to mutu : del piero and miccoli. with di vaio linked with valencia, we need someone who can replace trezeguet, someone taller than del piero and miccoli who is good in headers. if mutu wants to play as playmaker, it's OK, that would be a great signing, but if he joins juve to play as a striker, then thanks, but we dont need him.

Miccoli as a winger in a 3-4-3??? I don't think so.
