We're playing Marchisio as a left winger instead because Martinez isn't suitable for a winger in a 4-4-2 in the first place and Del Neri seems to be more comfortable with Claudio's defensive approach to the game than with Pepe, while allowing De Ceglie to overlap and put in a cross a bit more.

Almost the worst possible scenario for him to be pressed into playing FB. Not exactly the 20 min cameo sub performance against Brescia or Cesena that I had imagined. He wasn't good, but then again, shouldn't be too harsh on the guy given the circumstances.

I don't know what's not to like apart from Ibra's goal. He was 100% in everything else. He was even winning headers.

And this is in his FIRST game at the position against fucking Milan.

But I guess Motta is a better option right? Give me a break.

Pepe RB, De Ceglie LB. Those are our 2 best. If Pepe is not going to be playing RM why not RB? Is he not better than Motta?
