Five pages here and maybe once or twice someone mentions these clowns are seemingly religious extremists or mentally inept or unstable. No, it was the gun's fault again. Apparently, they purchased the weapons legally and went through background checks. So unless we implement some type of Israel-like profiling and simply don't sell to Muslims, nothing would have changed this whatsoever.
What data is that? What does law enforcement use to neutralize threats? What's the difference between a law-abiding, trained citizen owning a firearm and the police toting them around?
When you have a government that smuggles guns into Mexico, it's a little difficult to trust them in administering gun laws for its own citizens.
The no fly list is a joke too. No judge, no jury. Once you're on it, you can't get off. You can't even appeal it. Are you sure that's the best way to proceed? We already have a massive police state, maybe we need more.
Similar to terrorism. It's actually even less of a chance. But instead, you have no fly lists, a total disregard for privacy, thousands of goons across the country feeling folks up at the airport for nothing other than a useless job, thousands of "officials" in the DHS sitting at a computer all day dreaming of when they can find some white guy to swat team (yet can't seem to catch anyway)... funny how you never hear about that from either party.

No one is saying the gun should go to prison.
But clearly it would help to have very strict gun laws. Less guns means less people killed by guns. This is so basic.. I can't believe that you are so unwilling to accept such a simple truth. And I don't know what good you think can come of your denial.

We probably should not sell to muslims, goofy looking white people, white high school kids and NRA types. Require background checks for internet and gun show sales. Require extensive training and a recertification every few years. And yes, still not sell to people on the No Fly List. You know, do the reasonable things that reasonable people would do. The constitution says we should keep a well regulated militia, not an unregulated bunch of crazies.
But hey we can keep saying "we need more guns" and keep addressing the situation with thoughts and prayers because that's worked out so well so far.
