Americans are lazy. No doubt about that. Credit cards and automobiles have spoiled them.
Now this is the fellow saying Americans are lazy. Not me.

Credit cards and automobiles are a whole other issue. My wife is over at the public market picking up some fava beans for a dinner she's preparing, and some woman next to her tells her that she likes them but they're "too much work".

Fava beans. We're not talking about churning your own butter or anything, just peeling fava beans. It's too much work. WTF?! :wth:

We have supermarkets selling pre-packaged salads because taking apart a head of lettuce is supposedly too much work. We have apples that are sold in plastic bags, pre-sliced and coated with a chemical preservative -- because slicing an apple is too much frigging effort.

If there's a definition of lazy, it's some fatass who cannot be bothered with the horrible labor conditions of peeling her own fava beans to eat something. Talk about a nation going soft.

I am honestly waiting for pre-chewed food to show up on store shelves next.
Greg makes the connection between one woman and an entire nation. Not me. Dear god, people, perhaps you should do some discourse analysis exercises.

Alright Andries. You win. Tonight Belgium is better than the U.S. I bet there are no lazy people in Belgium either.

Andries, just because Americans are "lazy" doesn't mean they're all lazy when it comes to education.

Again, you have to go to school here to realize that. You sir are very much wrong with that opinion.

Look, I'm just going with what you guys say.

You said: people are lazy in America.

Greg said: people are lazy in America.

I think: yes, there are lazy people in Belgium, but overall people work quite hard. They work harder than people do in Italy, France and Spain for example. So I wouldn't call them lazy.

So if there's a difference between America and Belgium it's in society. Society seems to make people lazy. That's what makes Italians lazier than Belgians. It's also what makes them fatter by the way.

He has no idea how competitive it is here at our universities.

From what he's said about universities at least in Italy, it really sounds like preschool compared to college work here.

But that's really no surprise. We have the best colleges in the world.

Andy,

if your society makes you lazy it's hard to be full of energy to go to school. It's that simple.

Stop talking out of your ass. It's always about the top with you guys, whereas I'm not talking about that.

Italian universities are indeed easier than the Belgian ones.

Oh, and yes, I do have something against Americans. As long as they don't seem to think you should behave in Italy because it's not the United States, I think I'm going to hold a grudge. DON'T act as if you're at home in Firenze.

You're the one talking out of your ass with this faggot-ass-shit regarding how we apparently can't get an education for various reasons, now because you're saying we're lazy.

How about you come over here and see how lazy students are at our universities, Einstein? I guarantee if you do, you'll have to work hard just like the rest of us.

Where are your statistics regarding our laziness? Where are all the arguments regarding how students at our universities are lazy? In actuality, considering we do have the best schools and if we're so lazy in college classrooms, that must mean Europeans must be pretty friggin' sorry then. So stop talking about shit you have no idea about.

But I never said Americans were lazy. E and Greg did.

how do you know about the way they behave in the US
So now you're saying they're pigs in the US as well? I just assumed they would at least be a bit decent in their homecountry, excuse me.

And if I really have to explain: at home in this context equals arrogant.

Fine. Then we'll just conclude they act like pigs in Italy. Because I can make that assessment.

That means I was right. Because there is no difference between an American and a Belgian by birth, yet the American seems to be lazier as he gets older. That means the difference is located somewhere in society. If this is so, it's harder for an American to be educated, as he will be struggling with a society that looks to make him lazy.
But I never said Americans were lazy. E and Greg did.
I don't give a crap who said it. You're using that to justify your nonsensical education argument.

It's pointless to go on from here because you have no clue what you're talking about, Andries.

Bravo! and so do british aussie or any other nationality once drunk.
Actually I'm talking about when they're not drunk. Australians are equally annoying though. The Brits are not.

E and Greg said it, so it should matter, as they are American. Come on, Andy, you're not very good at this. Leave it up to them.
