Tiago definitely should go, he is useless for us or for our system. He might play his football somewhere else, but we need a miracle to see his good form back with Juve.
As for Poulsen, it depends, if he really accepts being the 4th choice then it's good. But the problem is the wage he gets is too much for a 4th choice, and also depends on the system, if we will keep on playing with 2 defensive midfielders, and not open up a role in the center to Giovinco, then we do need 4 DMs.

Snoop I have to disagree tiago did really well when he got his chance, we beat real twice and played very good soccer. Im not saying he's indispensable but saying that he cant fit in our system is pure BS. He can play instead of zanetti who honestly hasn't been playing that well.

Zanetti just came back from injury, and he isn't that bad. He was good against Fiorentina. Tiago adds nothing to this team, he didn't do anything special, and I don't believe he will, a couple of passes and all, that' it. All of the center players including giovinco did much better than him, I don't see a reason to keep him.

He is a good player, but he couldn't adapt, he isn't going to adapt any soon, keeping him and paying that high salary is a waste..

Our midfield when he was on was very much alive. You can feel the difference he gave the team, it was felt. You might disagree with me, but many pundits and even ranieri applauded his efforts. I'm going to go far and say that if tiago didn't get injured against inter, we might have won the game. Our midfield elasticity was built around him, and it proved to be effective in the 5 games he played prior to inters match.

Alen, what is our record in midweek Serie A matches? the only one I remember is the 1-1 draw with Catania this season, could you please give us some more results?

Sure they will help. Also the fullbacks. I am not fan of seeing our fullbacks go front, not all of them can do that. Zambrotta was amazing back then, it's hard to find players like him today, thou I love Zebina, I believe he is a great fullback.

If you ask me, my favorite formation doesn't have any fullbacks. I am a 3-man defense fan, call me a crazy but this is what I love:

Sorry Snoop, but I think that formation is quite archaic. It was great back in the 80's and early 90's when the pace of the game wasn't quite what it is today. I'd even go as far as to say that it is somewhat suicidal, not forgetting that it is too attack minded for our current coach.

Regarding the game against Udinese, I firmly believe we need to get the 3 points to keep the pressure on Inter, as I am pretty certain that Milan will win their encounter with Lazio to maintain the pressure on us.

I would like to see Giovinco starting this game, and Nedved along with possibly Del Piero getting some rest. Sissoko and Marchisio must start in the center of the park. I don't see us slipping up as Udinese are too fragile and low in confidence at the moment. 0-2 for Juve with Giovinco and Amauri grabbing the goals.

Indeed, I don't think anyone plays with a 3-man defense nowadays. Unless some lower league clubs from Croatia's first division.

Still pretty common in midtable Italian teams such as Sampdoria and Napoli. Genoa and Udinese were doing it last season too.

Perhaps you are right Sadomin, but the aforementioned teams all emphasize attacking football and have a lot less to lose than us.

fucken Al-Jazeera is not broadcasting the game
One of the few things I miss about being in Egypt. Unrivaled coverage of Serie A. I am sure they must be showing this if they are covering Roma vs Palermo.

Don't get too much coverage of such clubs but I'm very surprised if that's the case.

I'd like to see Nedved on the bench for this one, play De Ceglie instead and give Iaquinta a starting place against his former team. He should be motivated. What's the use of having him on the bench if CR never rotates his forwards. Besides, Amauri had a crappy game against Fiorentina. It's worth giving it a shot I think.

We played only twice a midweek serie A match this season. The Catania match you mentioned and the away win in Bologna (1:2) when Nedved scored a brace.
