Everyone said Roma owned us... ???

I said we give them that space to create their game. we play with 3 midfield. They play with 6.

Mancini perotta derossi aquilani taddei Totti. Totti is not their lone striker.

they play with 6 midfielder that can attack very cleverly, and we can past that thanks to Buffon, our offside trap, and their errors.

I think we "owned" them today..
1. break their clean sheet with 2 goal.
2. break their 100% run.

what else you can ask???

with our morale down after penalty we give them shock at the end . And they can't fight back..

You say we don't deserve one point... ???

Ask that to Buffon , Zanetti and Iaquinta... They will give their :faq2: to you.

Buffon - 7
Great goalkeeping, great leadership.

Grygera - 6.5
Solid game by him. It's good to have him back.

Andrade - 6.5
He was good today. Unfortunately as soon as we get one defender back from injury we lose another.

Criscito - 5.5
He was exposed by Totti for the first goal but apart from that I thought he did a good job. Still learning.

Chiellini - 6
Strong as always.

Nocerino - 5.5
Worked hard but doesn't bring a lot of quality, especially when wide on the right.

Zanetti - 7
Our best player so far this season imo. He wins the ball and he passes it well.

Nedved - 5
Poor display from him. Not involved enough.

Iaquinta - 7.5
Great performance. His work out wide was excellent and he deserved a goal for his efforts today.

Trezeguet - 6
Scored but did nothing else. Good finish though.

Del Piero - 4.5
Just not his day. Simple as that.

Ranieri - 6.5
I loved the idea to go with 4-3-3 but I don't agree with subbing Criscito at half time again. Maybe it had something to do with the yellow card he took in the first half but because of this rushed decision we had to bring on Birindelli when Andrade got injured and if Roma really pressed they would have taken advantage of that. Would've liked to see Tiago at some point because we lacked control in midfield but the Tinker Man didn't do a bad job today. Not bad at all.

So our defence will be

Birindelli - Grygera - Criscito - Chiellini

for the time being.

TBH I really frightful of Zebina, he's a walking time bomb

Buffon 6
Stayed on the line too much sometimes, but everything else world-class as usual
Grygera 6
Solid.
Andrade 6.5
A great CB, by far our best. Hope he is not injured for long.
Criscito 5
Should not have let Totti turn around him before Roma's first goal. There was a foul, but it happened when he had nearly lost the 1on1 already.
Chiellini 6
Had one good chance with a header.
Nocerino 5.5
Too many terrible crosses, fought a lot, but mostly without luck,
Zanetti 6.5
Very important for our defensive play at the moment. What would we do without him.
Nedved 5.5
Always trying, rarely succeeding.
Iaquinta 7.5
Superb 1st half, a few decent crosses including the assist for the 1-0, winning often 1on1. A bit less active in the 2nd half, maybe because of the midfield, and finally, the goal.
Trezeguet 6
Did what he is paid for. Nothing more, nothing less.
Del Piero 5.5
I think his 1st half was okay, he passed the ball well. It was not the old Del PIero, but it was still okay. The penalty was just weak and he could not be found anymore on the pitch in the 2nd half. Should have been substituted earlier.

Legrottaglie 5.5
No good positioning apart from the offside trap. Often just watching the misses of Roma, not helping. He could've easily been responsible for a goal Roma did fortunately not score.
Biri 6
Not so bad, pretty active in the attack
Palladino -
A good, but too short performance. Makes you want more

Ranieri 6

Strange substitutions, but the 4-3-3 was a good choice.

I'd agree with that too. I really think Tiago is getting shafted right now, and he really needs to start against Torino. Palladino needs a chance to shine as well, he looked very tenacious in the time he got. Del Piero needs to get some time off, and coming in as a sub. If Ranieri wants to play 4-3-3, he should play someone other than Nedved... the formation doesn't suit him at all.

If Andrade is out long term, they're pretty pooched. With Grygera, Chiellini and Andrade, the defense is nearly strong enough to compete with the best. I actually felt more comfortable with Legrottaglie than Criscito, since Legro has two key characteristics that Criscito lacks... experience and size. Criscito will be outstanding, but there's clearly a long way to go.

Lucky point today, time to build from it.

We could use Molinaro as well, but don't wanna hear Chiellini bitch about his position again, so...
Prefer Grygera, much more solid and experienced. Chiellini will most probably be a starter anyway, no reason for him to bitch about not having enough playing time

I have to point out one thing.. I hate the publisity that is around us.. Lets take Jazeera sport for an example.. I'll point out few incidences and their commentary on them even at the studio.

1- Tottis first goal which was clear foul, AL JAZEERA: Fantastic ball control from Totti...
2- Juve's penalty where Nedved was tackled from the back, where not even roma complained about it. ALJAZEERA: strange and weird call from the ref.
3- Juve's second goal where Roma played the throw in from a wrong place. The ref calls and directs chiellini to throw it in the right position. ALJAZEERA: Chiellini moved to far ahead and started comparing it from the position where roma played its throwin.. FOR GOD SAKES THE REF WAS POINT TO CHIELLINI WHERE TO PLAY THE THROW IN..

And the list is LONG...

Anyway FORZA JUVE PER SEMPRE..
So true .. SO TRUE .. I hate all Jazeera commentators they suck as no one sucks ..

and for some reason he insists that Spalletti never won over Juve .. :faq2:
