Seeing as we're playing Reggina in Turin and Camo is still injured I would go with the 4-3-3 again.

Buffon
Salihamidzic - Grygera - Criscito - Chiellini
Tiago - Zanetti - Almiron
Iaquinta - Trezeguet - Del Piero

I think Nedved could use a rest.

Give Palladino the chance too, DP looks burned out

The game started off pretty well with Juventus playing a very tactical game knowing that Roma will attack from the very first second. Two ball winners of Nocerino and Zanetti in the middle with Nedved taking the job of distributing balls to a trident forward line. It was evident that counter attacks was our weapon and Trezeguet answered by scoring after a Iaquinta cross.

Roma continued their work and their best moment was Cicinho coming in serving them well both offensively with his crossing, passing game and defensively by shutting out our left flank. Totti could manage to outmuscle the inexperienced Criscito to equalize and he found the net another time after some chaos in the penalty area.

The second half show Roma taking control of the whole game but not able to convert their chances partly due to bad finishing and mostly due to brilliance from our very own Superman. Iaquinta in the end could see his efforts translate to a very sweet lob aver Doni from a header after a throw in.

Buffon 7: He saved the Juve goal and made a big effort being in goal and leading the weak defensive line. The two goals he conceded are not his fault and couldn't have done anything to save them.

Grygera 7: Our best defender whether at the side or in the middle after replacing Andrade. He is solid and I prefer to see him more as a central defender because he doesn't run forward.

Andrade 6: He was average, he could have helped Criscito in the first goal.

Criscito 5: He is not ready for such encounters yet. He shows some bravery but he's an amateur.

Chiellini 6.5: Solid but was often outmuscled by Cicinho. He picked it up later in the game.

Zanetti 7: Excellent, wins balls, marks the midfield and overall makes the defenders job easier. I hope he doesn't get injured.

Nocerino 6.5: Played a very good first half but was invisible in the second.

Nedved 6.5: The 4-3-3 didn't suit him well or probably the counter attack tactics was the problem, he was playing deep in the first half but he was able to do moments of magic from time to time. He became very much active when the formation changed to a 4-4-2, winning fouls up front and making trouble for Roma's defense.

Del Piero 6: He worked well in the beginning but he became tired as the minutes ticked. Missing a penalty was the highlight. Good luck for coming games. I prefer that we see him come from the bench than starting the game.

Trezeguet 6.5: he worked very well in the first half, getting on the scoresheet and just being there annoying Mexes.

Iaquinta 7: Our best player, a lot of energy, a lot of hard work, an assist and finally the icing on the cake an equalizing goal lobbing it over Doni.

Leggrotagglie 6.5: He was better than Criscito but he was also shaky sometimes.

Birindelli 6.5: Did his job well, everyone thought he scored the equalizing goal :D

Palladino 6.5: He did very good, his fresh legs, his movements and his will to fight made it hard for the Roma defenders and he really helped Iaquinta to cause even more trouble.

Ranieri 7: Very good approach, he has read Roma pretty well before coming. He has prepared the team well and he did the appropriate substitutions at the right time.
This is the best report so far. Keep it up.

Even though I'm still heavily under my Roma hate influence, there hasn't been a pack of more arrogant football players all in one club ever, but here goes my view of the game.

First of the result was good. Especially when you take in consideration we were one of our main threats from the middle, Camoranesi, and because of that we had to change our formation. Ranieri guessed the formation right and entered the game well IMO. We were stretched on the flanks a lot but that's what you get by playing 4-3-3. With what Ranieri had at his disposal he started the game very well. The only downside was choosing Criscito from the start, but all things considered... Legrotaglie or Boumsong, God knows how that would have turned out. During the game he was reluctant to make changes and I didn't like that. IMO he should have subbed Nedved during the second half because he was not himself, probably because of playing out of position. Again, what Tiago and/or Almiron would have provided had they come on in this game is questionable so all things considered I give Ranieri a postive grade in this game. Ranieri 7

Buffon 7. Buffon is a God and there is no doubting that. I just hope he doesn't get fed up with our defense during this season, because if we loose him we are taking 10 steps back. Always indispensable for this club.

Chiellini 6. He was solid and didn't make too many mistakes, I wish he was involved in the attack a little more but in the end his throw in gave us the equalizer so a good performance all in all. On a side note, I'm always afraid of his temper, he argues with the officials too much and needs to learn to control himself.

Grygera 7. IMO our best defender, he was great at right back and solid in a sudden change of position. I would have prefered him to partner Andrade in the defense and Hasan on the right flank.

Andrade 6.5. He was very good and decisive, didn't take too many chances and always cleared in the most safest way. I have to admit I shat my pants when I saw he was going out but Grygera was more then up to the task.

Criscito 5. My biggest disapointment in the game. He is too young, too inexperienced and he cannot be our starting center back anymore. He needs time and should be give the chance in the more easier of matches. He might have been fouled by Totti but you cannot fall down so easily in such a important position, it would have been better to concede a penalty. He has the potential but needs a mentor. Secco should have been kissing Canna's ass and begged him to come back. Not only would he form a formidable partnership with Andrade, he would also do wonders for Criscito.

Zanetti 7.4. I have started to love this guy. He's simply excellent. Always consistent and never disapoints. He's good not just defensivelly but all around IMO, holds up the ball and passes it well. No complications and no mistakes, just the way it's supposed to be for a DMC. Nocerino can learn a lot from him. With Iaquinta my MOM.

Nocerino 6. He should either start working on his crosses or stop playing on that side. I know it's not his call but it's painfully obvious he can't adopt to that position. Overall not too impressive, especially in the second half. He also could have been subbed.

Nedved 6. Not himself today. Its probably the formation but when I remember that miss against Udinese I start to worry. We need a functional Nedved and I hope he gets to his best soon otherwise we're really limited with energy in the midfield.

DP 6. Not his day. I don't hold no grudges over the penalty, it happens to the best of them but overall he was holding the ball too much and tried taking on too many defenders himself. However he was the architect of our first goal and credit must go where it's due. Held the ball just enough and played it well to a running Iaquinta. Had one good shot which was saved by Doni.

Iaquinta 7.5. Great performance by Vincenzo. he was everywhere, always pressuring the keeper and never stopped running. I still have my doubts about him but his heart and desire is unquestionable. Terrific cross for Trezeguet and a great header from a difficult position. I hope he can continue like this.

Trezeguet 6.8. Typical Trez performance, 100th goal a birthday gift for his mother, good day at the office all things considered. Had a lot of desire and tried the whole time. Had one good header pass to DP which Doni saved. Too bad.. We all know his abilities are limited so when he's not visible it's not his fault, he needs chances and he will take them, because at what he does he has no match. The finish was top notch as usual, too bad not many other good balls went his way.

The substitutions were not ground breaking so I won't bother with them. None of them were decisive but none of them screwed up.

All in all we are lucky with a draw. Roma was the better team overall but when you see their goals it makes you wonder(foul by Totti and a rebound on the second goal).. They dominated the play and were combining a lot better than us, nothing surprising there when you see their midfield. Still we showed we can play against them and even defeat them.

A side note, I was quietly hoping we lost this game after we were 2:1 down. That would mean 2 losses in a row, than perhaps a third and a fourth one and hello Jose maybe? :D

Im very happy with Juventus today, Iaquinta played well and he was my juve player of the match even before he scored. Ashame Del Piero missed the penalty but 2-2 away to Roma is a decent result

I think DP needs a good performance to boost his confidence more than rest.
Don't worry he will, and he is very effective in case Juventus comes to dire situations

And nothing wrong with DP missing a penalty, I still love him and I believe he will come back to his form soon.

I enjoy it when people call me Dp fanboy, I feel proud

Forza Capitano for everything today. God, even when he looses a penalty fans do admire him more.

GRANDE CAPITANO!!!
Del Piero will be benched, so you can start opening threads like DP has to play, Rab vs Ranieri and similar ridicolous stuff.

For me,Neddy does not really suit the 4-3-3 formation even though, i think this formation is still our best formation..so no Nedved for the next match,i mean take it as a time to rest for Nedved,I still wanna see Zanetti-Tiago-Nocerino yeah and Palladino should also be given that start, maybe a rest for DP also..As for the back, how bout Salihamidzic-Zdenek-Criscito-Chiellini...I know the goals from Totti were both Criscito's fault, but that was expected because this is truly his first big game in Serie A..

And thumbs up for Zdenek today, very strong performance...

Forza Juve!!

So, Secco said that Juve will go on the transfer market if needed. If we lose Andrade, we bloody should go on the transfer market. Do you think we will buy another defender? And will we get experienced, classy defender? Or will we get a hot prospect like Ivanovic or Zapata?
