Football Italia says Ben Stiller is on the stands. Does he support Roma or us?

or he's just there so that he won't get fined?

Do have any examples of youngsters actually being good enough to warrant that type of trust? I mean, we can only really speculate anyways, but has there been any youngster who we underutilized and ended up being great, or even good somewhere else? Perhaps Giovinco a little bit, although I'd more argue that here quite the opposite was true, expectations were way too high.

I know what you're gonna say, how could they have amounted to anytihng after wasting precious years of development on our bench or in Serie B? And well, you're right,we don't know what would've happened had they played more. But that is exactly my point. We don't know shit about the youngsters that don't make it. We don't know whether they were simply not good enough or if we mistreated them. However, until we get some kind of proof, I'm gonna trust the youth and senior coaches on this.

It's good to remain critical of course, but for me the Pogba case makes me at least optimistic enough to believe that we're not throwing top talents down the drain.
Dunno, I'll never take Pogba as an example in this case simply because he stood out way too much.

I generally fail to see trust that coaches have in youth players here.

It kinda looks impossible that we have so many kids, so many talented players from Primavera and on loans, but it turns out that 3 generations of players disappear because they were not good enough? Some of the hot prospects were loaned out to third league and even there they were benched for some 32yo talentless hacks. I think that's generally an issue in Italy as I don't think you can see that in other leagues.

And I believe players are shaped while on the field, not being benched and expecting trainings to do wonders, it just makes no sense. Good example is Jedvaj who wanted out and did very smart when he moved to Germany. He was benched in Rome, or not even called up, but seems to shine there. Sure, he might choke there eventually, but you see where am I getting at. Had we bought Varane I bet we wouldn't use him for 1/3 of the time that Real did for example.
