If they are good enough? More like if they are super stars and who's value skyrockets each game pretty much. How come we give them a chance? Name me some young players who were developed here. The only one that you could name is Marchisio but I don't even know if he's a good example as he started playing here when he was 23.
Do have any examples of youngsters actually being good enough to warrant that type of trust? I mean, we can only really speculate anyways, but has there been any youngster who we underutilized and ended up being great, or even good somewhere else? Perhaps Giovinco a little bit, although I'd more argue that here quite the opposite was true, expectations were way too high.
I know what you're gonna say, how could they have amounted to anytihng after wasting precious years of development on our bench or in Serie B? And well, you're right,we don't know what would've happened had they played more. But that is exactly my point. We don't know shit about the youngsters that don't make it. We don't know whether they were simply not good enough or if we mistreated them. However, until we get some kind of proof, I'm gonna trust the youth and senior coaches on this.
It's good to remain critical of course, but for me the Pogba case makes me at least optimistic enough to believe that we're not throwing top talents down the drain.
Are you guys talking about Coman? Gotta be Coman, even though people talk about "youth" in general. Look, the guy is not even 20. The coach is not subbing him in 3 minutes from the end just to fuck with him. The reason they do that is so young players can get used to playing for a big team. Right now a development like joining Juve's first team for a young player like that is just crazy, so what he needs is stability, not playing time.
He won't play alot this season, but it's for good reasons.
