The Italy international has warned that Walter Mazzarri's men will not be pushovers, and has been impressed with the Partenopei's rise in recent years.
Giorgio Chiellini has warned his Juventus teammates not to underestimate the threat posed by Napoli in their Serie A clash on Friday.

Just six points separate the two sides going into the San Paolo fixture, and the Italy international has been impressed with the Partenopei's rise in recent years.

"The match could go either way. It won’t be decisive because there is still a long way to go in the championship, but it will of course be important for both teams," Chiellini told Sky Sport Italia.

"Napoli have improved immensely. They have an ambitious president, and since [Walter] Mazzarri arrived, they’ve taken a further step up in quality. The club has not only become competitive in Italy, but also in Europe, as they showed last year over two legs against Chelsea."

Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri has claimed that Friday's match with Juventus 'will not be decisive' in terms of the title race.

The Partenopei host Antonio Conte's men at Stadio San Paolo tomorrow, and the 51-year-old Azzurri Coach has insisted that the game will be 'special' but won't decide who wins the Scudetto.

"It is not a decisive game for the title,” he told a Press conference. “After this there are 11 other matches.

“It is definitely a special game for Napoli and Naples as a city, but it will not be decisive.

“We have spent 20 years not reaching the top level of Italian football, but for the last three years we've been reaching the upper echelons – and that is already a success.

“Unfortunately this is not said a lot, and I would like to remind the fans.

“Juve have great quality. We have not had much time to prepare for the game but we will still try to play our best.”

Every single interview about this match is this same. "The match won't be decisive. There are 11 more matches after this one". Apparently, media just can't make controversy about this one.

I do like how everyone is queuing up to downplay the importance of the game.

I don't think anyone would seriously believe Juve wouldn't win the title if they won tomorrow night?

Napoli could barely afford to drop a single point on the run-in to stand any realistic chance of catching Juve, and there is no sign of them being able to put a run like that together.

The key in this game is to contain Hamsik. Cavani is in miserable form, I doubt he will be more than our defenders can handle.

If we win the scudetto is ours. No way anyone can catch us then.

Exactly. Let's get things done and *Plzeň* them.

In theory, i'll repeat, in theory if Napoli wins it'll give them the boost they need to leave us behind and win the scudetto.

Now, that's the way the media are treating this match and probably some of the Neapolitan ratti.

In truth, this is just another 3 points from 36 still left. Nothing else.

I'd have to say, as cautious as I would normally be as a coach, the prospect of a nine point lead would be a big enough incentive to make me actively try to win the game, where I would be more inclined to play for a draw if I had a narrower lead at the top.

Getting that lead would also improve Juve's chances of doing something in the CL, as they may be prepared to rest players in Serie A games that they wouldn't if the lead was smaller.

Still wouldn't be doing anything rash, as Napoli are obviously very dangerous on the break, but I would definitely be thinking about winning the game rather than just putting men behind the ball and playing for a 0-0.
