Zanetti reveals Juve rage

Inter captain Javier Zanetti has hit out at Pavel Nedved, the way his team were treated in Turin and FIFA President Sepp Blatter.

The 34-year-old joined the voices condemning Nedved for the challenge that broke Luis Figo’s fibula during the Derby d’Italia.

“How do I judge Nedved’s foul? He went in too hard and caused a serious injury to a teammate,” Zanetti growled.

“We need to stop these tackles from behind. I’ve always said that and something needs to be done.”

The Argentine also revealed that the Nerazzurri’s reception in Turin was far from ideal.

“At the stadium there was a horrible banner about Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which is really nasty to see, but worse was the reaction we got when we arrived in the coach,” he explained.

“Because we were late there was practically no security so anything could’ve happened, but luckily we got there without trouble.

“These are things that shouldn’t happen in a League as big as Serie A.”

FIFA President Blatter made headlines by criticising the Beneamata for having no Italian players on the pitch against Juventus, but an indignant Zanetti pointed out his error.

“I was on the pitch and I have an Italian passport,” he stated. “That’s what I would say to Blatter.”

Zanetti is a spacker. That tackle showed Figo's age, it wasn't horrific. And he's harping on about how there were nasty banners, boo hoo bitch! Like Interisti wouldn't have done the same. He really is a cunt.

Napoli fans banned from Palermo game

MILAN, Nov 7 (Reuters) - Napoli fans have been banned from Saturday's Serie A game at Palermo because of concerns over the recent conduct of their fans, authorities said on Wednesday.

The body which monitors Italian soccer hooliganism said in a statement that events at games with Juventus, Reggina and Fiorentina had prompted the decision, which took into account Napoli fans' "propensity for illegal acts".

The Naples club have an avid fanbase but the supporters' joy at doing well in their first season back in the top flight since 2001 has become overzealous.

Napoli were already forced to play September's home game with Genoa behind closed doors after fans displayed offensive banners and threw bottles and smoke bombs at a previous match.

Their supporters were also banned from going to last month's league match at champions Inter Milan but around 1,000 managed to buy tickets and make a mockery of the measure.

Italy has been trying to clamp down on soccer violence after the death of a police officer during riots outside Catania's top-flight game with Sicilian rivals Palermo in February.

Juventus are still waiting to hear if they face any punishment for their fans' conduct during Sunday's 1-1 draw with bitter rivals Inter.

Kick-off was put back slightly after the Inter team coach was delayed on its way to the ground, where it was pelted with eggs by Juve fans.

Banners and chants insulting Inter's former Juve striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic inside Turin's Stadio Olimpico are also being investigated
