we have a different performance this year and i think samp is usually good in the mid field which got improved in our side
i dont see any prob in beating them
2-0 for juve
Well, as we do have a better starting midfield than the previous year, our top player Vieira will not be taking part in this match, so essentially our midfield is no better than last year's when we are without his services. I will not be so quick to say we will own Samp easily tomorrow...we should give them a bit more respect than that.
Below is the Match Results table for Sampdoria:
1 27-Aug-05 A Fiorentina L 1-2 (0-2) Diana 74
2 11-Sep-05 H Reggina W 3-2 (1-1) Bonazzoli 18; Volpi 58; Gasbarroni 85
3 18-Sep-05 H Milan W 2-1 (1-1) Bonazzoli 36; Tonetto 58
4 21-Sep-05 A Treviso W 2-0 (1-0) Bonazzoli 45, 48 5,000
5 25-Sep-05 H Chievo Verona L 1-2 (0-1) Flachi 50
6 02-Oct-05 A Messina W 4-1 (1-0) Flachi 45; Bonazzoli 63, 90; Borriello 74
7 16-Oct-05 A Ascoli L 1-2 (0-1) Bonazzoli 54
8 23-Oct-05 H Siena D 3-3 (1-0) Flachi 38p; Volpi 54, 90p
Considering the fact Novellino's side has already beaten Milan, we must expect a difficult test tomorrow. If we play the same way we did in the past two matches I can't help but feel we will lose points, so underestimating Samp is not an option. Flachi will be suspended, however Bonazzoli and Kutuzov/Borriello still form a good attacking duo with Volpi, Diana, and Tonetto in midfield...we know Diana a bit too well I'm afraid. As Capello stated earlier Samp will try to strike us on the counter, and pack the defense tighly in their own zone. We need to score the first goal in this match.
Hopefully Crap I mean Cap will use something like this:
Abbiati
Zambrotta - Thuram - Kovac - Chiellini
Camoranesi - Emerson - Giannichedda (Nedved)
Del Piero - Trezeguet - Mutu
