I'm praying that next week Lippi opts for a strike duo of Miccoli and Del Piero, because both of them looked ultra sharp today, especially Fabrizio, while Di Vaio was completely invisible.
yeah, that would be great. if marco rediscovers his deadly touch i want him to play alongside alex, but latter has to prove himself ahead of miccoli

Yeah, although DP has scored twice in approximately the last 35 minutes he has played, he still has to work on getting back to his best. He should get another chance to prove something to Lippi against Siena in the Coppa :)

I am SOOOO tired for keep on running between the tv and the comp! :stress:

anyhow, all four goals were beautiful! as usual nedved is a machine ( i think he did more than the whole parma team put together :D ) , maresca's passes are cool, our forwards look very sharp tonight!

hm, isn't it ironic how everytime Dv replaces Dp he scores, and when Dp replaces Dv Dp scores?
Hey Sally, how have you been? Good observation. Let's just hope everyone keep scoring. I wont get tired seeing that!

dp man. its all his fault. the scoreline should have been 5-0 if he hadnt come back from injury
Now that would be the most selfish thing I've ever heard anyone say. That was harsh on Del Piero!!!

yeah, but this isn't a "drop the soap" situation right?

No more rotation system..... we're surpossed to play on form players.

A couple of quick observations of this match, from the other side of the pond.

First, this 3-4-1-2 formation, for the time being, looks like it could work very well. It should only be more succesful once Thuram comes back, and assuming that he will be playing RB, will make their attack more dangerous.

maresca needs to be a full-time player. He is the first legitamte offensive/defensive young threat in midfield that Juve has had in quite a while. He is showing a complete game.

Miccoli, as well, needs to be on the first team. Is it me, or when Miccoli and DiVaio(who didn't play all that well today) are in the same lineup, they seem to carry the ball more into the attacking zone, instead of waiting for someone to feed it to them?
It looks like they have more responsibility, and I, for one, like that. It changes the look of their attack, as you see more 1-2 passes, through runs, and less crosses/long ball play out of Juve. They can create their own opportunities, and if DP ever gets his form back, a DP-Miccoli combination could prove deadly.

Whatever Flu bug hit neddy today, make sure he doesn't get better any time soon. Best game this season for him, IMO. Although he was supposed to play the support role behind DV and Miccoli, it seemed that he stayed on the right side of the pitch for most of the match, and he was highly effective.

If this new formation is going to be our long term solution, two things need to happen.

    1) Appiah must be paired in Central midfield with Maresca, once he regains his form. I see less and less of Tacchinardi as the matches go on. Appiah could become Maresca's "safety net" if Enzo happens to stray too far in the offensive zone and can't recover on defense. There were a couple of situations in this match where Tacchi took the wrong angle on a player, and they ended up pushing down the sidelines and creating opportunities. Or, for the time being, pairing davids there would also be a short term solution.

    2) In the long run, Juve is going to need some younger legs back in that central defense. Although there was a clean sheet today, it's possible that a healthy Adriano could've found the back of the net, especially when parma came out with guns blazing early in the 2nd half. Putting that kind of responsibilty on Iuliano, Ferrara, and Montero may be too much too ask over the long haul.

All in All, an excellent performance, and hopefully, Juve has turned the corner.

I will now proceed to take the "WTF are you talking about, you stupid Yank!!?!?!?", comments from the audience.:)

This seams more true for Micoli than DV.

i thought Maresca did well to get back and help out the defence yesterday, but i think it woul,d be gd to have appiah in the midfield too.

Hey Adriano's like 1/2 own by Inter right?? If i'm not day dreaming nonsense her, maybe Inter will think abt taking him back.

    Yeap

Definitely, after his last 3 performances, he showed great technique...and what i most like from him is his Vision. The guy have done great assistances in each game. Today i even saw him doing great tackles..specially one near juve´s corner area.

Miccoli, as well, needs to be on the first team. Is it me, or when Miccoli and DiVaio(who didn't play all that well today) are in the same lineup, they seem to carry the ball more into the attacking zone, instead of waiting for someone to feed it to them?

Indeed... they ad that movinilty to our attack, and we have Trez too. In few words.. we have plenty of choices depending our rival.

 Definitely Nedved need to get sick more often! :D
I dont know if this game was his best performance this season... but since the first 10 minutes, i think that al of us noticed the difference in comparison with the last 3 games.
Good for him, he did today a great job, running like crazy and with all his class.

Well, like u, i have seen tacchi good in defence... but he doesnt help too much when the time to pass comes.. unlike maresca who is a amster of assistance. Anyways.. i would be happy with either appiah or davids.

This is the problem. We are putting too much responsability to an already not good diffence. "Zizou" said that the holding mids are there to support them.. but i dont know. Lets see if lippi will use this again.

Awsome result, and Juve totaly shocked me. Miccoli, Nedved, Maresca and Del Piero could combine to form a DEADLY attack. Great game by the forwards, with Di Vaio having a rare quite day. FORZA JUVE! SUCK ON THAT JUVE/DP BASHERS!! :D

Actually i think DV's been a little off form for the last couple of matches. There were a couple of chances which i thought he should have put into the net.

You're right, Sunshine. if only divaio can use that opportunity, we could score some goals. As always he's goals is unpredictable..

Firts of all, I have to congrat Lippi! Great tactic and he knew that the only way out of this def.crisis is to switch in the 3-4-1-2!
Miccoli, Nedved, Del Piero and Maresca are great! Marescas assist, Nedveds assist and DP assist were great! I watched it three times! I really think that we are back and we will get this scudetto!

    Hey Nina :extatic:
What I want to know is WHAT was it that made us alive and kicking again?
Confidence was sky high in the team.

    Did Parma suck soo much?
Most of you think Parma sucked. I think we completely dominated them. Oh yes to a point where we just kicked the ball around at the back. I also could not help but notice that we could step up a gear or two if needed.

Was it the return of Zambrotta?
Not quite since we didn't use much of the width. But definitely he brought back some stability at the back.

    Was it the mobile attack?
This holds more weight. I think the mobile attack was very effective. And like all good matches we scored at very decisive moments. Sort of a sucker punch to finish off the opponents.

    Was it Maresca?
He is a breath of fresh air & brought in some creative plays. He worked well with Neddy but I hope he works on his fitness as he is not yet a 90 minute man :)

    Lucky day?
    Hell no :D

Lippi finally found the gutts to sub the underperformars ... ?
The master tactician pulled a huge here and the subs did well to take the iniative after being the chance. Kudos to them. I hope this makes the team more competitive.

    My question is ...
What do you make of Trez's absence?

Tacchi is the best saftey net for Enzo! A real fighter and IMO Appiah is just a possible replacement for Enzo! You saw the assist from Tacchi for Miccolis second??? Great and you will see that without Tacchi there is something you will miss! Last year we sucked in def. midfield without Tacchi and the defense missed him!

IMO there is no Juve without Tacchinardi! GREAT PLAYER!!!!!
