how come camo & appiah weren't there? is lippi being really strict now? oh mi gosh
I guess so .. but they may be struggling with fitness problems and Lippi chose to rest them .. don't really know ..

But guys I don't understand all the critisicm towards the defence .. did I miss anything? I don't recall a mistake or a single threat towards Buffon in the whole 90 minutes ..

what ?! please tell me you're kidding;;

if not... that comment will remind me never to take your word seriously as far as football and Juve are concerned.

Unless you've been living under a rock, how can a person who follows Juve not know that Zalayeta is still at Juve ? HE even played AND SORED vs Olympiakos.

oh yeah. blame my senility. i remember reggina with a loan offer and was kinda hoping he would take it. imho he deserves his share of first-team football.

a bit of both...

parma simply wasnt playing...their role is only as a obstacle for our goals... they downgrade themselves to the class of Serie A lower teams.. and we all know how good Juve is agaisnt lower team ;)

seriously, i think Parma played a terrible match and we made the most of it...

Well, Montero wasn't that that good, but I agree with you, the defence looked much more solid than in recent outings.

parma didnt play all bad, hafiz. in fact they did quite well to gain an equalizer. i guess we scored just too much and killed their spirit :)

fahad, there were a FEW moments where our defense were outpaced and a time where montero was showing 'skills' on the opponent box, which, he should not do since parma was closing in.

but who cares man, we WON! :D whats roma & modena's score ?

good match also for DP....:thumb: ...hehehe....hope Lippi wont overreact and start him over Miccoli as .tonite IMO, Miccoli is our MoM..;)

both Miccoli and Maresca used the most of the last 2 starts given too them..
    :thumb:

Miccoli and maresca have to do that walways if they want to earn Lippi´s trust. Well,i think that Miccoli already gained his confidence with the latest performances....and Maresca , after te Gala,Oli and today games... Lippi will think twice to not choose maresca :D

Good through pass to del piero!

Montero's back-heel was awesome .. the TV commentator couldn't stop complementing the move .. in fact Zambro was close and Montero intentionally played the ball towards him not to award Parma a corner kick .. I can't see why your complaining? ;)

my memory must be failing me then... i cant remember a single decent threat to buffons goal for the whole 90 minutes..

and i dont understand at all with criticism to our defense.. this might be becoz we were attacking all the time but i havent seen our defense and center mid that solid since a long long time... nice solid quiet game...i hardly saw Ferrara and Iuliano on the tv screen  .. that was a bit irritating as i wanna see how the 3 defense system fare..:wallbang:

"Miccoli made it two when he sprung the offside trap on a lifted Maresca pass, then placed a powerful and precise angled drive past Frey."

    - yeah it seems that Maresca did 2 assistances today!!.

    Nice!

    My player ratings:

Buffon - Didn't have any real saves to make except for one on Gilardino. Gigi mishandled one ball, but that didn't cost us so... 6

Ferrara - Like Buffon, didn't have much to do. 6

Iuliano - Dealt with the few threats that Parma provided very well. He needs to see more playing time. 6.5

Montero - Montero is too inconsistent for me, as he did well on a few occasions but the absolute opposite on others. To add to that, his passing is poor, and very predictable. 5.5

Birindelli - A very honest shift in the absence of Lilian Thuram. Did well to restrict any promising attacks down the Parma left and went forward with equal efficiency. 6.5

Maresca - Another top quality performance from the young 23-year-old. Enzo bossed the midfield well with Tacchinardi at his side, and supplied good assists for Miccoli and Del Piero. 7

Tacchinardi - Solid in the centre of midfield. Looks really good when partnered by Maresca. 6.5

Zambrotta - Not so good in the first half, but much better in the second. Linked up well with Nedved, Miccoli, and Del Piero when he came on. 6

Nedved - Pavel wasn't in full flight against Inter and Lazio, but bounced back today despite suffering from a bout of the flu. His world-class assist for Fabrizio Miccoli's first goal and has goal should ensure that he wins the Balon d'Or IMO. 7

Miccoli - Excellent performance. Two chances in the first half, two great goals. Miccoli is intent on getting more playing time, and his efforts today can do his cause no wrong. 7

Di Vaio - Disappointing is all I have to say. 5.5

Zalayeta didn't do much, Del Piero scored a nice goal and did well to set up Nedved, and Conte made a five minute appearance.

ah, fahad, maybe I was a bit over critical, my bad  I'm a kind of person who likes to see the ball cleared all the time at all costs I guess

Hafiz, I thought Marchionni, Morfeo & Gilardino and a bit of Bresciano did quite well to 'try' and get an equalizer. They weren't that threatening but we can't have taken their efforts lightly either. And IIRC, Morfeo should have gotten a penalty for shirt pulling had he not been offside.

Josh are you seriously blaming Dp?
