Salihamidžić, the Joker :)
How fit can we expect him to be? I have my reservations about him right now.

That's very unlikely.

We are barely giving chances to our young players who are actually part of the senior squad (Gio, Ashton Kutcher, Ariaudo), so I don't see why we would rely on someone from the primavera.

Manniger
Caceres--Cannavaro--Ariaudo--Grosso
Rossi--Poulsen--Marchisio--Giovinco
Immobile--Trezeguet

Del Piero on for 45'
1) Poulsen is suspended, sadly.
2) Legro is doing better than Canna recently, so if you want Ariaudo to play it should be with Legro, not with Canna.
3) Saying who you'll sub on is useless since there is no way of knowing how the game will turn out (cards, injuries, result at half time, ...)

1) balls :frown:
2) No Legro, ever :(
3) With that logic you might as well not put forward a team suggestion, because anything can happen :andyandbarcelona:

Well, I just don't see how you can say player X should come on for Y minutes, when you don't know how the game will progress.
If you have already decided about 1 fixed sub to implement during the game (for whatever reason), then you're just limiting your possibilities.
One should always aim to start the game with the best possible players & the best possible formation.

Now, as to what that best possible formation is, I remain completely in the dark :D

If he is then Brazzo

I was saying 45 mins for Alex because
A)he needs fitness
B) if Immobile has us ahead, Del Piero is hardly a step down in quality

win win

Catania are a poor team. No matter how bad you are i don't think theres any doubt you're winning this game.
We could hardly beat the like of Maccabi Haifa and Siena, we lost to Napoli when we were up with two goals and there was 30 minutes for the game, we lost to Cagliari and Palermo, I am not sure of anything after all these. We might win 10-0 or lose 5-0, what I know is only dumb people would bet real money on Juve, no matter who the opponent is.

So, if you lot hope we lose, and we do, and we finish two points out of a Champions League spot with Ferrara still in charge come the end of the season, can we sentence you to lifetime bans?

Because you know, even if we do lose and you get your wish, Ferrara still might not be fired.

Think before you post.
It's a must win match Vinni, Ciro or no Ciro, we must win this.

If we don't win this not only that we risk Fiorentina and Roma (teams capable of making the top 4 in the end) joining us in the CL spot race, but we also have a hell of a schedule to follow.

To end these first 19 rounds, we'll have to play away to the 4th placed Parma and home with 2nd placed Milan. Then in the second part of the season we play away to all the best teams from last season (Inter, Milan, Fiorentina) and away to some other solid, typical home teams, like Sampdoria and Napoli.

The scudetto race is probably over. When we'll have Parma and Milan after next weekend, Inter will have Siena and Chievo, and then in the second part of the season Inter will play at home against us and they'll have a better schedule overall (at home against the more solid teams, while we play away).
No matter if we beat Catania or not, we're as good as out from the scudetto race. But if we don't beat Catania, if you look at our schedule and have in mind that we might still be playing in Europe when the other Italian teams will be eliminated, it's obvious that no matter who the coach is, we'll fight till the end for a CL spot.
We need these 3 pts against Catania.
I understand where you're coming from Alen, but IF Ferrara stays, I dont see this disaster getting any better, and 5th place will actually be an accomplishment for this team

Andy, go get laid....you're long overdue

Caceres needs to play. he is in a period of growth, into our team, and also into italian football...Grosso is likely on the left, as he is our best left back.
In the middle. Canna will play, probably with Legro, which is unfortunate, but I will hope that Ariuado makes the bench, and has at least the chance of an appearance.
So we have, almost for definite: Manninger, Cac, Legro, Canna, Grosso.

With Poulsen and Momo OUT. we are left with Melo and Marchisio. A game like this, against the weakest team, on form, in the league, is perfect for our players to regain some confidence, so Melo must surely play, despite his obvious mental problems.

Camo OUT...we would all like to see Giovinco, and Diego must play. because he is our most talented fit player.

the problem here is that Tiago is not at all suited to playing ANYWHERE but centrally. so unless we go Diego-Tiago-Gio, which suits Tiago and Gio, but perhaps not Diego, I can't see Ciro going for including our two flair merchants in offensive midfield positions.

What would be more sensible would be the following:
Melo Tiago Marchiso
Diego
Trez Gio

That does not offer much support on the flanks though, other than through the fullbacks...though Gio will naturally drift out there and towards midfield, making it more like 4-3-2-1 than 4-3-1-2.

We need to play our best players. That is the only way they are going to find form.
