caught only the first half of Torino-Inter, but even then Inter didn't look good. they press with a lot of people high up on the pitch, but do it lazy and don't move fast enough when they manage to rob the ball. not surprising that they conceded their first goal like that, that's a lot of pressure on your defenders if your team is all over the pitch when defending

Oh, how I've missed the traditional browsing of Milan and Inter forums on a Monday morning at work :touched:

Now I hope they win their next games convincingly so the coaches stay :D

Mayor to sue ADL?
By Football Italia staff

The mayor of Naples could reportedly sue Aurelio De Laurentiis, as well as serving notice against Napoli for missed rent payments for the Stadio San Paolo. The club and the city are at war over the stadium, which is owned by the local council. De Laurentiis has repeatedly derided the ground as “a toilet”, and won’t pay for renovations unless it is sold to him.

Napoli’s first away game of the season had to be played away from home while works were carried out, and capacity will be reduced throughout the season for upgrades. The city, meanwhile, is frustrated that the Partenopei owner won’t contribute to the upkeep of the stadium or make what they deem to be an acceptable offer to buy it. On Friday night the club released a statement condemning mayor Luigi De Magistris, and this morning’s edition of La Repubblica reports he is considering legal action.

The mayor wanted an apology from De Laurentiis, but that hasn’t been forthcoming and court action is now a real possibility. An official notice could also be served on Napoli for missed rent payments, the newspaper reports. It's believed the money was for Saturday night's match against Milan, but in the absence of a lease the Partenopei are renting the stadium on a game-by-game basis. It's therefore theoretically possible that the San Paolo could be closed for the next home game against Fiorentina.

This will be the easiest scudetto since pre-Sarri days.

CR7, which everyone will benefit from, and improved coverage are the only exciting things about Serie A this season. Fiorentina also had a good mercato.

Much ado about nothing from the media re the rest. Inter and Milan improved slightly, not as much as claimed. Napoli and Lazio regressed, Roma remains the same. Standings-wise, don't think much will change.

I laughed at Inter being labeled the anti-Juve/scudo contenders. Neither they had a good enough team on paper nor are they mentally fit. Two games in, they already reminded everyone they're pazza Inter lol.

Mandragora ban for blasphemy?
By Football Italia staff

Udinese midfielder Rolando Mandragora could receive a Serie A ban using TV evidence for blasphemy.

In Italian, a blasphemous phrase is the worst swearing there is, so it is clamped down on with fines and even bans.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Mandragora was caught on camera uttering the banned phrase during the 1-0 victory over Sampdoria last night.

The referee and his assistants did not notice it at the time, so TV evidence is valid.
