I just hate those clubs without tradion, history and with sudden income of money (city, chelsea..). They are cancer of modern football. Can't wait for FFP.
As much as I understand the roots of what you are saying, DP, I would never allow such fruit to blossom. Because...
I have followed the premiership for many years, since its inception and before. As a neutral, who only ever shows a fondness towards a Style, due to the fact that the english team i was unfortunately nurtured nearby, was Gillingham...my teams since 19 years ago have been Juve and the wretched Gills. So I have been able to enjoy the premiership with an unbiased eye. Yes...I have always liked fulham, mainly due to their style and the managers they bring in...coleman, hodgson, hughes...to me, those managers have a definite class about them, in varying ways. Anyway, chelsea suddenly becoming not just a challenger, but a winner, creating a team rather quickly of world class players, with decent management at all levels, has been fun and enjoyable to witness. Simply putting the likes of drogba, lampard, ballack, cech, terry and essien together, makes me, as a neutral, far from eager to denounce how such an often, in the past, spectacle of high quality football, should be condemned, due to the resources behind what created it in the first place.
I am no fan of Chelsea. But in recent years, obviously not this season, their team was one of the best i had ever seen. Not always brimming with flair, like the Barca of today, but a machine...of all parts working at worst, cohesively and competently together.
I am no fan of any premeirship team, although i like the manager and hardy style of fulham, the manager and pretty football he demands, of arsenal, the flair and vitality of Man United...the close to lunatic efforts of the manager to stick to technique and beauty, and determined effort for the squad to respond, of wigan. Chelsea have made things interesting, and have produced passages of form, so perfect, that i have seen very few teams match, in all my years of watching football.
As for City...Its wicked to see some of the players they have purchased, playing in the premiership...I highly doubt that even as recently as two years back, charlie adam thought he would be facing yaya- fucking- toure. Kolarov, Silva, Milner, Johnson, Tevez, Dzeko, Barry, Kompany, Balotelli...i enjoy seeing decent players playing together.
Much of the previous success of Juventus, is down to the spending power, and connections, of the Agnellis. A shame that the Gills are stuck with a fuking Scally eh!
