Juventus Very Keen On Ivanovic

The Bianconeri are apparently set to sign the Serbian Under 21 national team captain in order to bolster a defensive department which seemed far from perfect in these early pre-season friendlies.

Branislav Ivanovic is the latest player to be linked to the Old Lady.

The Lokomotiv Moscow full-back, who can also play as a central defender and even a midfielder, impressed during the past European Championships, where he attracted the interest of various clubs, including Juventus.

The Bianconeri have sent one of their representatives for the Moscow tournament, where Ivanovic even scored against Real Madrid.

Originally the trip was planned for the end of August, but now Juventus have decided to accelerate things up following the latest disappointing team's performances.

According to the latest reports, the Old Lady has already agreed a deal with the player and will give Lokomotiv Moscow 3.5 million Euros in order to sign the Serbian defender.

is that your opinion as a football fan or as a bosnian?
Oh great another retard on the forum.

somebody shoot me now
Only retard on this forum is you. Ibrahimovic9 didn't said anything wrong and he is partially right cuz what we really need is proven defender cuz we already have youngester in Criscito (still I wouldn't mind another great prospect on the roster) but you immediatly pulled out Bosnian thing :disagree: I don't know where you live but I live in Bosnia and I have nothing against serbian players especially beacuse of their nationality and I'm pretty sure that noone on this forum have anything against Serbian players. So please leave your frustations for yourself.

god forbid its another mirkovic, i remember the hype about him till he played for us
Why should we compare him to Mirkovic, only because Ivanovic is also a Serb ? If you want to compare him with Serbs then do that with Mihajlovic, Vidic or Djukic who were all world class. Mirkovic was never a great player to begin with. He was part of the all-star Serbo-Monetenegrin team who had Savicevic, Mijatovic, Jugovic, Mihajlovic, Stojkovic and he looked good there. But at club level Mirkovic was never good, he was only hyped.

Vidic is another Serb who played in RUssia until his 24 birthday. Ivanovic is also a Serb who is 23 and plays in Russia. People in Russia who saw both of them say they are both very good but Ivanovic is even better than Vidic. If Manchester took the risk with Vidic i approve our team to take a risk with Ivanovic. If we can call it a risk, because Ivanovic is not 18, he is 23.

There are some pros and cons with Ivanovic. I agree with MARK that its better to take a proven defender for this year. The negative thing is that Ivanovic is a gamble and we can't allow gambles like we could have in the past.
But if we let him go now and he develops well like experts expect him to then we may lose him the next year or be forced to pay a fortune to get him.

I hope our men will play smart and will make the best decision

erm... no cause mirkovic was the last serbian defender we had who the media hyped up so much and turned out to be one of our biggest flops of the past decade

seriously is there a lab that breeds retards that poeple like you come from?

look at the question I asked him based on his quote, then look at his reply. Did it sound like an answer to my question to you? No it was a rant that had nothing to do with my question. Don't you think that is retarded, especailly based on his attack on Ivanovic in his 1st post on page 1. He called a him a bum and that this is shit that we are linked with him. Well I'm glad to know he went into detail to explain why he is shit when I asked him a question, oh wait he didn't. So tell me was wrong in asking my question (and I wasn't trying to insult Bosnians. Don't try to play that card) since most people here think that this guy is quite good and is a gamble we should take, yet a poster, who happens to be Bosnian calls him a serbian player a bum and doesn't explain why does not sound a bit stupid to you considering the praise that player is getting?

We are not gonna lose him but we are maybe gonna loan him out for a one more year in Genova if Ivanovic comes.
why? whats the point? ivanovic is no more proven than criscito is, but id sooner have criscito since hes talented, and speaks the language, and if buffon himself rates the kid so much more than i already do, then lets give him a f*cking go. I thought ranieri didnt rate players on names, i suppose hes going back on his words

We need an established player in defence. Talented youngsters are lovely and all, but we need some experience and reliable and immediate quality, someone who can take the pressure and offer us stability.
