Or just... "Why don't you try a 4-2-3-1, the formation you ran over a few teams with earlier in the season?"

But I guess Camo's absence would be the main reason to completely ignore the only somewhat succesful set up.
We brought Candreva, someone who can replace Camo on that right side. I do believe that Ferrara had that plan in he's head (to play the trio Gio, diego, candreva) but he just didn't have enough time to do that.

Zacch seems to have a completely other plans in he's head. We're definately in a mess right now and IMO someone like Giovinco is paying for that mess. He's likely going to leave in the summer which is a shame really.

It's how they role in Italy, not just Juve.

They try to find fucking stupid reasons when he or some other player is not playing. Just one year ago they were saying he's too young. How can he get better if he's not playing.

Messi and C.Ronaldo started playing in the first XI when they were 19? That wouldn't be possible in Italy. Here they just say that they are not experienced enough.
So Pato, Jovetic, Balotelli, Hernandez, Pastore, Paloschi and etc are 29? or Are they playing in Premier League or what?

I can understand when they say he's not good enough. But when he's not good enough then why don't we sell him ffs!!! Disgusting
Giovinco himself has always said he wants to stay at Juve. It's his own choice. Besides except Arsenal(and at the moment when Giovinco was requiring a new contract. We don't know Arsenal was really interested or not anyway because there are a lot of transfer rumors and most of which are made by these agents), is there ever any big name interested in him? The answer is no and no.

I think he would have played a lot for Barca. They don't have that many left wingers besides Henry and with him not being as good as he used to be and with the fact that Guardiola gives young players like Pedro and Busquets the chance I defenitely think Giovinco would play a lot on the left for Barcelona, more than he does here anyway.
1. I'm not sure about that. I watched Messi, Iniesta and Co. closely. Nobody can bully them off the ball. And Giovinco can't control the ball like they do (If the defenders make "contraste" with him, they can rob him off the ball or knock him out without being considered as a foul).

2. Pedro and Co. know how to shoot in movement. Pedro scored the winning goal for Barcelona once he got his limited playing time. Giovinco rarely score in movement (in 20+ matches, he can score like 1 goal in movement). Not once has he ever scored a winning goal even for the Italy U-21. Not once has he ever socred a winning goal in movement for Juve and certainly he didn't only start once for Juve = =
Try to find all Giovinco's matches (including the Empoli and U-21 ones) and make a HL about him scoring (not by freekick, I give credit to his good freekicks), I doubt you can make a decent-length video of him shooting.

What a summer this was here in my country where Giovinco owned everything. I remember watching this game with my friends and all of them left loving Giovinco.

(Second goal, look how he toys with our defenders)

I want explanations and I want Tuttosport to start a campaign for Giovinco.
I'd find even better video of Morfeo. And where is Morfeo?
I never deny that Giovinco has had some brilliliant flashing moments. But that's not enough to make him as "fenomeno" a player as you describe.
You say I'm trolling just because I have a different opinion than you do?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, for me, so far he has proved that he is no more than a useful sub for Juve. So if he himself is willing to stay, he should have prepared for this situation. But obviously many of you on this forum and himself have a different view on his performances and abilities. So no point to discuss anymore here as one can't convince another because it seems that we simply understand football in different ways.

Stop trolling, Giovinco has already shown what kind of player he is and he has the stats to prove it.

If I was a youth player, the last team I'd choose to play for is Juventus. We are the absolute worst club in the world when it comes to nurturing young talent or giving it a chance.

What will it take for us to change course? Probably nothing.
Our youth system was not impressive. But it was more of that we hardly snatched up "fenomeno" or "champion" youngsters who had the abilities to break into Juve's first team than that we were bad in giving them chances. We produced farily amount of decent players who can play in Serie A and Serie B.

For example, Pandev came from Inter's youth system but he didn't even make a single aapearance for Inter. I don't think we give 0 opportunity to a youngster of the level of Pandev.

Although some Juve fans have great hope for some Juve Primavera players, our youngsters are usually not considered very highly by the Azzurri fans who pay a lot of attention to the Italian youth system and very few of our players are selected by the Italian youth team, even those ones called by the important Italian national youth team such as U-17, U-19 and U-21 (U-18 and U-20 are just not important), they don't play an important part in them (with Giovinco, Criscito, De Ceglie and Marchisio's generation the only exception in recent years, who played important roles in an important national youth team, Italian U-21)

But even playing for U-21 doesn't equal that these youngsters are definity good enough for a Serie A team because very small percentage of the youngsters can survive in the end. Imagine Palombo was an important force for the Italian U-21 that won the champion of the U-21 tournament and the best team he can make is la Samp.

Not to mention, we are in the era when Italy has run out of talents so the best of the bunch of averagely bad ones don't have the quality of players born in 70'. Immobile, hyped up by Juve related media, was rarely called up by any Italian national youth team, Marrone was a sub in a Italian U-21 that coudn't win Bosnia U-21. Ariaudo started some matches for the Italian U-21 and was benched and gave his position to players like Bellusci nd Ogbonna. Libertazzi who is our only Primavera player born in 1992, played as a sub in the Iatlian U-17. etc etc.

And the rest of the players who are not been selected by the Italian national youth team are even less talanted than the previous ones. For example, Castiglia, hyped up terribly by some Juvemedias (don't know why. Maybe because he used to be the Captain of the Primavera?) was never in any Italian national youth team.

I'm not saying these youngsters are terrible. But they are not that good like some Juve media (such as Tuttosport, offside.com) hyped them to be. These medias are really exaggerating.

One may argue that our Primavera team has gotten very good results. Well, they are an averagely good team and are strong as a whole but lack impressive players who can break into the first team (based on what mentioned previously about the national youth team and Azzurri fans' opinion which may be not convinced enough for you as one might argue that you never know until you watch them enough and so on...but no matter).

One thing is some Primavera teams, such as Fiorentina, gets good results by playing players born in 93 and 92 (Carraro, Babarcar, Iemmelo) as their main force while ours are made of players born 90 and a small percent of 91 (ones like Belcastro and Giandonato), the only 92 is Libertazzi (born in January of 90 and is not even a starter in our Primavera). We should get good results. it's 90s VS 92s... Foti (born in 88) was an absolute fenomeno in the Primavera league of the first half of this season. So good results not definitely =/= talented playes in the youth level because the one with mature physics has a huge advantage. (See how good some African teams are in their youth level).

The reasons why we can't snatch up better players I'm not sure. One thing is in Moggi's time our tradition was buying young players who had already made a name for himself in the professional teams and we hardly investigated heavily in players who was playing only for the youth level and this hasn't changed (Even Yago, Ekdal and Co. came here for free.) How can you get the best of the players if you don't spend?

Right now Inter was one of the best Italian team with talented youth players and they really really bought a lot of youngsters and most of them were eliminated. We only saw the survival ones, of course. I bet we don't even get half numbers of what Inter buys in youngsters and we don't pay for any youngster who is considered as future champion neither.

Milan from last year began to invest in youngsters. They bought Beretta(born in 1992) for 2.3 millions. We haven't spent large sums of money for a yongster for years. If not mistaken, Del Piero cost us 1M in 1993 which was really a huge price for a yongster of his age and he is a real fenomeno unlike these hyped "fenomenos" who join us for free now.

People go on about as if he'll single-handedly save our team. He's good but he's obviously not that good.
I think that people here, including me,are complaining about Giovinco's 5 minutes per game maximum.
No one said he is Messi or Maradona ,the guys here are just sick of watching some stupid subs by Ferrara and Zaccheroni.....Paolucci,Immobile, Tiago for a long time or even Poulsen in several occasions.

he has severe pace and acceleration. And trickery. We have been lacking pace, acceleration and trickery in the final third since Camo got injured and Giovinco was dropped, then injured himself. Its a very simple equation...he has something which most teams use as a major weapon in their attacking arsenal.

As to how good he could become? We will never know unless he is played consistently for a lengthy period of time, in the right role.

When I see players like Amauri, getting game after game after game, and playing shockingly, for 13 months now...it makes the giovinco issue even more aggravating, because why the hell can managers persevere with a donkey when we have a miniature stallion with a grand desire to impress kept on the bench.

any team lacking pace in attack is going to find it hard to score goals. Its an essential asset in the modern game. fielding DP and Amauri is like fielding two cadavers...

i still daydream about a Trez/Giovinco attacking duo. I know that Sebastian would come deep to collect the ball, but his pace would make so much difference to our flow. The diego/camo/gio working OFF trez or Iaquinta would work.

what's this pace everyone talks about? Giovinco has never ever outrun an opponent on the field. Iaquinta has pace, Caceras has pace. Giovinco running his little dwarf legs makes the opponent defender lol because he can jog and catch up with him.
