Giovinco is suffering for two reasons.

1. Diego - giovinco's best position is that in the hole behind the forwards. many can say that he is fragile and wouldnt be successful in this role, but at the end of the day, its where he plays best.

2. Del piero - giovinco could play in a support striker role roaming around running a muck. DP wont ever be benched unless he retires.

what amazes me is that with camo being injured, diego really lacks someone in midfield to lin up with, and this is where i see giovinco being useful...he could roam in a deeper position and help diego build up the play and create things.

with the CL being a far fetch, funds will be non existent...i think the club should be focussing on younger players like gio and making sure they play now, gain the epxerience and prove themselves because DP is nearing the end, and the only other besides diego is camo who can create and he spends more time in hospital these days.

Giovinco is crucial for the club at the moment.

This is not true Dp is not the problem. Even when Ferrara benched Dp he still didnt play Gio.
