I'm someone who believes that he doesn't have the physicality to play the trequartista position. The few times I can remember seeing him play there, he wasn't particularly effective.
When he plays the left flank as an attacker, he's better able to used his speed and agility, and it's easier for him to take defenders on, because the space he's attacking isn't as congested. It also positions him well to whip in those nice little crosses of his...
Given Diego's presence, a 4-3-3 doesn't make a ton of sense, but realistically, we have pretty good pieces for 4-2-3-1, and Seba would fit nicely on the left side of the 3.
